1368 - The Year of the Banner
Nightal (December) 24
I went to the docks in Baulders Gate with my father and Jinol, to meet an old enemy, by the name of Kynlin, in hopes to find a couple of friends of mine.
When we got there, Kynlin was finishing a spell that created a portal to another realm. I decided to enter the portal in hopes of finding my friends.
When I went through, I found myself in front of a tavern. A sign over the door of the tavern read: Talons Tavern.

I entered the tavern and saw a beautiful red-haired woman.
She noticed me enter and walked over to me, Hello, Im Eltara Foxmoore.
     I said, Im Dilantik Kesintar.
Fox said, Would you be interested in joining our clan, The Talons?
     I said, Sure, why not.
A huge man, wearing nothing but a loin cloth, walked in.
Fox greeted the man, Hello Bear.
     Bear said, Hey Fox.
Fox said, Bear, you havent officially taken the oath for the Talons yet. Would you like to do that now?
     Bear said, Sure.
So Bear and I took the oath together.

An elf walked into the tavern and watched us take the oath.

Fox said, This Oath is both verbal and one of blood, the blood binding is more for me then you.. it gives me a tie with each member enhancing out mental link, it will allow me to know when you are in trouble, when and if you die and also if in your mind and heart wish to betray for even the desire to disband will force yer blood from mine do you understand?"
Me and Bear both said, Yes.
Foxs eyes flared blue fire as she locks her gaze on ours, her voice low, calm almost mesmerizing as she
Speaks, I ask thee, Bear and Dilantik, here and now before all the gods and goddess of the realms and the
brethren of the Clan, does thee wish to become a Talon?
     Yes.
Then come, give me your left hand and swear your loyalty to the Balance both by words and blood
     Me and Bear moved forward.
Fox reaches down, her fingers grasp the hilt of her fox-head dagger, quickly, so not to bring pain, she slashes Bears palm, then her own, as the blood wells and pours forth she takes his bloody hand in her own.
Fox said, Repeat after me... I accept your leadership and willingly join the Talon knowing what they stand for.
     Bear repeated her words.
I shall stand and fight in the face of adversity, striving to maintain the Balance of the Lands.
Bear once again repeated her words.
Fox said, I understand and follow the beliefs of the clan as a whole, but know my own personal beliefs shall need not be sacrificed.
     Bear repeated.
Fox smiles as a warm sensation flows up from their clasped hands throughout their body, a new connection. Still their hands clasped, Fox pulls him into a hug, her voice strong and confidant Then be welcome, my Brother, by oath and now by blood.
A soft amber glow, haloing their hands for the briefest of moments before they released. Palms healed, thought left behind a crescent shaped scar.
Then Fox did the same oath with me.
