My interests were always followed towards the elder siblings activities...As a child i was interested in soccer because i used to get a new ball every year from eldest sister. Later years of primary or upper primary were involved with indoor games like carrom, chess. During high school soccer get replaced by the gentlemans game called Cricket because of organised activities involved with it. Apart from that some indoor activities became more prominent such as carrom, board games(chess, Ludo, Business)because of vigorous academic stuffs.Apart from games and sports in school days i also liked debating, essay writting and quizzing. All activities lasted till i finishes school, but quizzing continued as i loved it because the curiocity to know more about the world around us, like the highest, biggest, smallest and so on.
The year 1988 was a year of complete transformation; in terms of watching Movies, I became a frequent movie goer. In those days i continued playing cricket and so also badminton which was happening intermitantly. After i left my home for higher studies, cricket was still there in different forms of play and continued in IITBombay. I got exposed to more games and sports and i started playing
Table Tennis and got chance to learn swimming and done that with success,which i rate as one of my achivements because of past experience. During my post-doctoral assignments in taiwan also see cricket as a better time pass on weekends and we could able to play against english speaking guys under flood light, which has been a kind of dream come true.Some other interests were inluded in my list by that time,listening to song is one of them. In play back singing I like Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd. Rafi, Mukesh and Yesu Dass. I loved nature very much and this quality came from my place of birth which is one of the best locations of my state,Orissa. Travelling was added in my interest list in later part of university and i loved it as it enriches one to get to know about others and know yourself.
As i am not a photogenic,i prefered to be behind the camera and learned photography after i got a clik camera from my elder brother in the year 1999. After that i captured IIT life in
my photoworld. I was given a special mention in a competition organised by IIT photography club, which encouraged me to continue with Photography. In free time i read books of wide variety starting from best seller to religious to non-fiction and also surf the net. Net surfing is another hobby i have taken at IIT, which i dont think an evolution but a revolution in getting information easily and quickly. Lately orkuting and facebook are two other activities on net which are on a priority basis for the time being. For the movie part my favorite actors include Raj Kapoor,Amir Khan, Tom Hanks and Ajay Devgan and in actress Madhuri dixit, Meg Ryan and Julia roberts.
