About Us

We welcome you to the world of Nepali art and craft. We hope to present you with authentic and elegant art and craft from Nepal and hope to bring you closer to the culture. We have a wide selection of nepali art and craft items created by the women's in Nepal. We encourage women empowerement by buying directly from them. I created this website to help my Uncle with his business that sells authentic Nepali traditional items. His business stays quite busy and we wanted to facilitate every art and craft lovers who wants to buy traditional items without trying hard to find it. We wanted to upload all the items that we have in our store, but that was not possible within the short time frame, so we have collected the best sellers and posted it on the website.

We have kept our website really simple. The website features picture of a mountain, with a lake below. The intention behind chosing the picture is to symbolize Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world.We chose steel blue color which symbolizes peace and serenity, and that is what Nepal stands for. The colors choice also makes it really easy to read the subject matter and it does not interfere with the layout. The typography is also simple our choices were Arial, Halvetica and sans-serif, which are really easy to read and not overly dramatic.The home page gives you a glimpse of things you can find in the website. The menu page showcases the popular Nepali dishes that are made fresh in the store everyday. We have also tried to describe the menu and posted pictures to better describe the dish. The decorative items page shows the best pieces that are in our store and the prices are marked clearly. Same thing with our Jewelry and Authentic clothing page. We have posted pictures for everything that are listed in the website for the customers to better understand the product. We kept the website simple with simple colors and traditional typography for easy use and clean look. The menu bars are up and easy to locate. The menu bars do not open in seperate window which is clean and easy. Throughout the website we have tried to keep as much white space as we can for a clean look. We also made the website accessible from mobile platform as well.

We are still in the building phase of this website. We will be constantly updating the website to add more and new products constantly. We had to publish the website as soon as possible for business purposes, so we could not upload all the items that are available in store. We will be on our toes to make all of the items available as soon as possible. We will also be elaborating more on our Menu that are available and we will add special menu page for item of the day that chef prepares. We will also add some more videos about how the clothes are made and how the local womens are getting employments.
