| As Steve says... All Great harp players don't start out that way. In the Begining December 25, 1974 I started my music career playing Drums and putting togaither my first band all in the same day, this was the day that the newest and youngest band in the Mexico area broke grond at that time following in the footsteps of bands such as Slaughterhouse, Spectrum Blue, and Neon Sun DISTORTED IMAGE was born. This was My fist band and a four piece Combo that drew it's infulences from such popular bands as Deep Purple, Grand Funk Railroad and CCR. Ussally a opening act for Neon Sun and Spectrum Blue I spent about seven years behind the drum kit doing all the lead vocals at this time my music career went on a two year break while still keeping a finger on the pulse of the music scene in the area I wrote and worked with differant area Musicians. It was about this time when I recieved a call from the Band Episode to fill in for their ailing Drummer at a show attended by over 2000 people.... The Music bug had bitten again. about 6 months later 2 of the members of Episode and My self hooked up with two other members of the Band Vandetta which rocked across Mid-Missouri for a couple of years recieving offers from Mad Dog Productions for a tour of Europe but all band members could not agree.Vandetta was the first band where I moved from behind the kit into the front Man postion handing all the lead vocal parts
after the split of Vandetta I spent the next couple years writing songs and perfecting my Harmonica skills to augment my vocals I kicked around setting in with many Bands on the Missouri and Iowa Club circut such as JUMPER, CHUMP CHANGE, KC STREET BAND before returning to my hometown roots and hooking up with CODE ZERO an all orginal material band based out of the Mexico Mo. area and for the first Teaming up with Drummer Dikki Barnes where over the next 7 years we developed a Drum and Harp style based on our drum and percussion backgrounds that is second to none. This in turn lead to a split in Code Zero and the opperturnity for us to put the many idea and visions into the form of our own Music our own sound our own style in our way. That brings me to where I am today. If I have one word of advice to anyone in my shoes let the Music come to you don't come to the Music, play what you feel, feel what you play,Rock the world in your own Damn way.....That's all for now Love to all Thank you for visiting my page!
