People all over the world have different interpretation of what life is all about. Most people say that life is a game... a sort of amusement. You gamble and risk your life not knowing the prize at stake.It's just winning or loosing the game, but the most painful part is when you turn out to be the looser. You have to be prepared whatever circumstances come on the way. Perhaps they are right, but in my own point of view, I insist to believe that life is a journey.
Commencing the moment we are born, we begin to travel in the journey of life. We are predestined to be drivers in our own mobiles. We organize our own strategy and we decide the path we are going to take. It has been said that there are two roads in the journey of life: the straight and the crooked road.
The straight road is the life of denial... or let me say the fantasy world. People who have chosen this path go to nowhere. It leads to the world of wilderness. The peopler traveling here are the kind of people who think they are the greatest and the best among the rest. Their life is full of pretensions. They pretend to have lived a life of fame, recognition and power. But deep in their hearts, they are incarcerated by greediness and unruliness. These people are never satisfied of what they have. It doesn't bother them if they have stepped on somebody else's feet because what is important for them is to gain more and more profit.
People traveling in the straight road believe that this is easiest and the most relaxing way to reach their destination... without hassle, without stress and without barriers. But they don't realize that every blast of the wind to their mobiles, they will go astray. And once lost, they can never trace their way back 'coz the blow of the wind has taken them into another direction... a direction which
leads to nowhere. These peopler whose egocentric perspectives dominate are often drawn to perplexity and deterioration. They are persons who commit mistakes int their lives but refused to be corrected. They are people who make believe they have everything but they have nothing. They judge others but they don't judge themselves. People who make the law are the people who have the courage to break the law. For me, these people are the grass of the society, the menace of the nation and the burden of the universe.
Hitherto, people who travel in the crooked road encounter the real side of life. This road takes you to a definite destination. It is crooked 'coz it leads you to a lot of problems along the way. This road brings so much trials, hardships, woe, anguish and throbbing. It rains with pain the road we are going to cross but there's no incomparable fulfillment we will experience the moment we discover that we are able to endure the hindrances and impediment along the way. It may appear at times, despite the fact that everyday is the same sorrow and pain, yet we laugh and we cry. Sometimes in this journey, you are blocked on the road. There's a huge trunk that hinders in the middle of the road. You have only two options to solve the problem... you carry the trunk by yourself or you wait for other travelers and ask them to help you in lifting up the thing. I can compare this in the life of man.
In the lowest and saddest times of man's life, there you will come to a point that you fee like giving up, wanting to surrender. In that very moment you are conquered by hopelessness, despair and frustration... thus you make a wall between you and your dreams. You can't achieve your goal 'coz you've been trapped. But once you give somebody a chance to help you in breaking that wall, the door of million of chances invites you in. Then you will find yourself embracing the most amazing and most exciting moment of your life. And that feeling is shared to the people you hold dear and the people who treasure you and value you for what you are and not for what you have... the people who are with you through thick and thin and help you find your way and yourself with a hope that tomorrow will be better, or maybe much better than today. Life is lifeless without pain. That's the package deal in life. The sun may set but when it rises back, hope is within reach. People need people. No man is an island 'coz no man can live alone by himself.
Neither do I inflict nor do I persuade to every individual to know and believe the position where I stand right now. But there's a tiny voice whispering to me that life is a journey. This tiny voice helps me in laying down to you the two roads in the journey of life.
