About...
The episode
This was the 51st episode of Sonic X's 52-episode run. In Japan, the episode was titled Chris's Long Journey. In US it was... well, I dunno, since we're still at like Episode 29 over here. The episode revolved around where it left off in ep 50 ("Morning of Farewells") where Chris stops Sonic from returning to his own world. Chris runs away with Sonic without even a slight clue as to where he's going. Strange thing is, even though his friends have gone back to their world except him, Sonic doesn't seem to be objecting to Chris's idea. After a while of running away from home (and from the cops, even XD), the two get to a small, empty lakeside cottage (Which they also got locked out of, wow.) and settle there for the night. Late that night, both of them discuss why Sonic wasn't complaining about running away. Sonic mentions that he doesn't care about going home, that he is free here, and also the fact that he -WILL- stay... if Chris wants him to. Chris admits that he does want him to stay, because he really got close to Sonic for the two years or so that they've been together, yet he still feels that it isn't right to keep Sonic in his world when he belongs in his own. At the end of their conversation, Sonic mentions that the moon in both his world and Chris's is the same, as a touching embrace between the hedgehog and the human boy follows.
This episode is indeed very touching, and also pretty much my favorite, which is why I made a whole minishrine to it XD. It explains the strong friendship between the hedgehog and the human that developed throughout the series, one so strong that one of the two were actually willing to stay away from his own home if the other wished. Chris's loyalty to his friendship with Sonic is so strong and sweet, that he nearly dies a few times in the series just for Sonic's life. From leaping many feet from an airship into the sea, to surrendering himself to the enemy, Chris takes many risks for Sonic. This episode seemed to be the highlight to showing their strong friendship, which I found very sweet indeed.
The layout
Same Sky's first layout is an image from the episode's ending, right after Sonic explains how his and Chris's moon on their planets are the same. This scene was my favorite in the whole episode. The setting is beautiful (Plus the hug Chris shares with Sonic afterwards is quite cute also ^^) and thought it was most needed for the shrine. The image for the layout came from Team Artail's Sonic X Page, located in the screenshots. Everything else, though, was coded by me (Even the screenshots i'll update to this page soon, which are 'capped by me only =]) The font, by the way, is called Carpenter ICG, and the smaller font is called Supermarket.
