..Left alone? With all these.. Strange things. Oh yes. About right now arose the temptation to just sit where he was and cry. Cry until someone came and picked him up, told him it was going to be okay, and that Cid was just an old old mean man who lied to him. Of coarse, Chrisu would go and trust him anyway. Not a good thing. .. Lost. Thats exactly what he was, just another outcast like the people here.

Demo.. I shouldnt just sit down and cry. Though the tears were misting up in his eyes, he wiped them away hurriedly just to make sure that if anyone was -actually- looking, that they didnt notice. I have to think of something.. Demo.. What? I .. Dont know where I am. And it doesnt look like theres much of a way to get out of here. .... Or sleep. No food. No friends. Loneliness. Maybe that man can help. So after Cid Chrisu did trot, right in the item store.

Cid had already gone and forgot about Chrisus existence, busy with putting stock on his store shelf, and replenishing a fresh grain of straw at the corner of his mouth. It made him look tough. And stuff. But upon the door slamming shut, the initial reaction, Yeah, whaddya want? was there. He turned to see that little Orange-haired kid. ..Oh. You again.

..Looking down a little at that comment, however it may have thrown him off he proceeded to the counter. I wanted to know if you could tell me where I am.. Ano.. And if theres a way out Mister Cid. Im sure all my friends and famliy Chrisu gasped Ahh! Moma and Papa will be so worried! He gripped the edge of the counter. They dont even like me going out at midnight! I had to tell them that I saved a cat instead of Sonikku because of that! Oh yes, a slight momentary panic. Please, I have to get back before Mama starts to wor

Kid. Maybe you didnt hear me before or something, but your damned world is gone already. Your Mom aint going to be worrying about you any time soon. And I doubt anyone here will care what hour you stay out until. As long as you dont go being damned stupid and go out of this district your fine. So just stay put. The expression that followed on Chrisus face was expected: sad, forlorn, lost. Hey, Sorry kid. I dont make the rules here.

Oh shit.

..D-demo.. Try as he might any longer, yes, those tears started to silently streak down his face. He hadnt believed him before.. Sort of.. The idea sounded so far-fetched.. Chrisu sniffed. Hey hey kid! Im not good with that tear shit.

Chrisu looked up at him, reminded him of that little profanity issue. Oh shit. I mean DAMN. I mean. Hey. Sorry. Panic mode. Just stop cryin and you can stay here for a while if you want. But you gotta work cause I aint gonna go have no free-loading brat on my hands. And Im bad with kids, so Itll keep you busy or somethin.

...H-hountou?

Y-yeah. So. Just stop that will ya? Sheesh.

And even though thats the way things were originally planned, it didnt go much that way. Yes, Chrisu helped out in the store for a while, dropping many things (on one occasion, On Cids foot.) And putting stock in wrong places more times than not. After a while Cid made him STOP working, though Chrisu kept insisting that he wanted to help and not be so much of a burden to the older man. Eventually when night came, Cid was tired out, and gave up, going to huddle in his little cot behind the register. There wasnt an extra one.. So the pillows were deemed to be Chrisus for the night. And of coarsethere was one thing that Cid never knew.

Hey, night kid. Cid yawned widely, scratching his posterior before collapsing into the cot almost already asleep.

..A-ano.. Mister.. Cid?

...Huhwuhtisitt.

Chrisu shifted with his pillow, clinging to it like he did a certain stuffed bear which always adorned onto his bed. ..U-um. Do you have a.. light.. or.. Something..?

..Wuht the hell would you want a light fo.. ..He paused, sitting up, Dont tell me youre afraid of the DARK.

Chrisu just stayed curled up in silence.

...Shiiiiiiiit.
