adobe photoshop elements: bordered text

This tutorial shows how to do bordered text on Adobe Photoshop Elements 1.0. Look at the image and see the steps below.




1. Type out your text with the color that you want your border to be. Here, we're gonna use a dark blue color. Now your text should look like step 1.

2. While having the typing on that same text activated, go up to the tabs near the very top. Find the one that says "Effects". Click and go down the list until you find one that says "Thin Outline". Click it and it should affect your text and look like step 2 on the above.

3. Now this is the hard part where you should try to be as patient as possible. Change your color to the color which you want to fill your border with. Then with the exact same text type, attempt to line your text where it lines with the bordered text so that it goes inside the border and ends up looking like step 3. This could take a few tries.
HINT: It helps to zoom in to the picture so you can at least see the first letter of your text, so you can see which pixels to type by.

4. You now have a bordered text. =]
