Go to your Notepad on your Start menu. When you get to it,
leave your mouse cursor on it and right-click it. Go down to properties.
Find "Run:" and in the drop-down bar, choose "maximized". Now,
click "apply" and "ok". 


NOTE: Also works for "Wordpad".
