What is mp3 ?
Mp3 is the short form of MPEG 1, Layer 3. While MPEG long form in Moving Picture Expert Group. The best thing about mp3 is, it has a really small file size (1 : 11) compares with wav file at the same sound quality.

Where can we get the mp3 file ?
We can get mp3 files from the mp3 sites in the internet. The files can be downloaded into your computer and then you can play it just like CD or cassette.

How to play mp3 file ?
You will need an mp3 player like WinAmp, K-Jofol, etc. You can get that player free from the internet (www.download.com). Also you will need a computer (recommended with a Pentium processor), sound card and of course speakers.

Can I make my own mp3 file ?
Yes you can. You need a CD Ripper program and an mp3 encoder. CD ripper used to change cda file from the Compact Disc into wav file. Then use mp3 encoder to change wav file into mp3 file. You can get all of this programs from the internet.

How to download ?
To download the files, do right click on the link, then choose Save Target As... (Internet Explorer users) or Save Link As... (Netscape users).
If you are a Go!Zilla or Getright user do right click on the link and choose Copy Shortcut (Internet Explorer users) or (Netscape user) to get the song's URL.

How to re-name ?
To rename the file, first you need the file extension to be showed up. To make it so here are the steps:

Open any folder
Click "View" then choose "Folder Options..."
Click "View" folder tab
Find "Hide file extensions for known file types"
Then unchecked the box
Click "OK"

After you got your file extension, do right click on the file name then choose "Rename". Change the extension to *.mp3. You're done and now your file is ready to be played in mp3 player.
