Nearly unkown to american audiences before May 12, 2000 when was subsequently casted as anakin skywalker in George lucas's second and third chapters in the world reknown star wars films, Hayden Christensen is one of the most talented actors to arrive from Canada as of late. Even though most people in the United States had never heard of him before the anouncement he's considered by some to already be a veteran actor at the young age of 21. As a child Hayden stared in various television drama's, with his first picture at the age of 14. But perhaps most people know him for playing Scott Barringer on the hit Fox Family Network Show "Higher Ground". In the show Hayden fine tuned his acting skills portraying a teen who is sexually molested by his step-mother and resorts to drugs in despair. Scott was an important character in the series and the role seemed to be one of Hayden's most crucial projects since the announcement of his deal with Lucas. However Hayden seemed to be drawn to even more U.S. expsure when he filmed a movie with Chris Cline in which he played a disturbed and some what outcasted teenager who's quality time means getting high, engaging in small-time prostitution and avoiding his father. In the movie "Life As A House" Hayden's character Sam Monroe joins his father for a summer and helps him acomplish a dream of building a house and ends up bulilding a strong bond at the same time. However what Sam dosen't know is that his father is dying of cancer. The role came with lots of acclaim from critic's and earned Hayden a Golden Globe nomination in 2002. Although this seems to have  been one of Hayden's best performances yet, many beleive this role was only a peak of things to come from this talented rising star, and i think it should be interesting watching the many roles he'll take on the future and i'm looking forward to being entertained, somthing it seems he was born to do.
