Photoshop Elements Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl Z - Undo last edit
- Ctrl Y - Redo last edit
- Ctrl 0 or Double Click the Hand Tool – Fit photo to screen
- Ctrl = - Zoom in
- Ctrl - - Zoom out
- Hold down the spacebar when in zoom mode to pan with the mouse
- Left Bracket – Decrease brush size
- Right Bracket – Increase brush Size
- Ctrl L - Levels dialog box
- Alt Click to obtain the clone sample
- Shift Drag the rectangular/elliptical marquee to produce a square/circle
- Ctrl N - New
- Ctrl Shift N - New layer
- Ctrl Shift I - Invert selection
- Ctrl D - Deselect
- Ctrl J - New duplicate layer
- Ctrl J - Copy selection to a new layer
- Shift Ctrl J - Move selection to a new layer
- Alt/Ctrl Bk Sp – Fill Selection with Foreground/Background Color (also Layer Masks)
- Ctrl Click layer thumbnail to select layer item(s)
- Alt Click layer mask to edit normal mask in image area
- Shift Alt Click layer mask to edit a red mask in image area
- Alt Drag to duplicate selected layer item(s)
- Shift Alt Drag to duplicate selected layer item(s) in a straight line
- Shift Click a layer mask to hide - Shift Click again to restore
- Double Click Background - Background becomes a normal layer
- Ctrl G - Group selected layer with previous
- D - Restore default foreground (black) and background (white) colors
- X - Reverse foreground and background colors
