Hello again, the story on the previous page was written almost 7 months ago,its october now and we are still no further on.I would like to introduce us,this is my husband pictured on the right and below is a picture taken on our honeymoon,im in the middle lol.I am in the process of preparing to leave this country, just in case we dont get the result we want from our coming appeal against my husbands refusal of a settlement visa.
Now in light of recent developments concerning 15,000 asylum seekers in the UK,they are being allowed to stay here because it will be cheaper and it gets the waiting list down!.My husband is one man,we are already married and have been now for 16months,he is a fully qualified veterinarian, and most capable of supporting himself and me,his wife. The reasons he was refused entry was because of our ages and religion and culture.Firstly i can say that love has no boudries age culture or otherwise, and i am in fact a muslim myself and have been since i married my husband (my own choice).i have legally changed my name too,to support this fact.We have the full support of both families UK & PK and my sons are more than happy for us.I know there are many reasons why some people would still be suspicious of the situation, but we have been a *couple* for 2 years now,we spent a holiday in dubai, and some weeks in Pakistan living as husband and wife and i absolutely adored the beautiful country Pakistan is.Its is our intention to eventually settle in Pakistan.
The date is now 27/02/2004,some considerable time has passed since my last entry, this is because i was set-back,downheartened if u like by yet another refusal. The paperwork was sent from Pakistan to the home office in the UK in November last year, and we still havent heard a word from them,i was advised by them via an e-mail not to contact them regarding our case because no progress reports would be issued and no estimated time of completion will be announced. Again we have to just wait...I have recently contacted my local MP he has agreed to look at our case and if nessasary take it to the house of commons ,so im preparing a background and copying papers to send to him.In the mean time my husband and i are still suffering terribly at this forced seperation, both of us are having trouble sleeping and live from day to day in the hope things can be resolved successfully very soon..we have to believe that, because its heartbreaking enouth without worrying about the what ifs. My husband recently landed himself a great job, working for the government in the N.W.F.P of pakistan as a research vet, this job ensures he will have enouth money to keep me comfotably in Pakistan, and i will happily join him there if all else fails, but it means leaving my family,my children may be adults but they still need me.
