An Examination of The Human Species
By Rev. Xvl

Physical
Homo Sapien translates to, "man wise" (wise-man). When one takes a good close look at Humankind's history, this term could seem as a contradiction, but this is merely because when one gazes at Humankind as a whole, one is subject to see the majority of the populations' actions. The herd is ever-confused and easily guided by the few who are masters of the "Sphere of Influence" (a term cioned by Rev. Wharg0ul denoting the influential power certain people have over others - for more information, see his essay, "Sphere of Influence" [ed. note - this will be posted soon]). If one were to look to these masters, one would see that Humankind's collective retardation from the rest of the animal kingdom is not absolute. There are individuals, leaders, conquerors, masters, etc., who live their lives just and true. These are the, by definition, true homo-sapiens. These are the true "wise men".

Humankind is embedded naturally with certain instincts, as are all animals. These instincts all relate to the same goal: survival. Babylon's Online Dictionary defines survival as the, "continuation of life or existence". The main goal of all creatures on this planet is to survive. Everything else is superficial when this instinct is taken into consideration. Survival is broken down into three sub-instincts: Pro-Creation, Contention, and Dominance. The instinct for pro-creation serves to continue the race and the bloodline of the particular creature. It is in place to ensure the continuance of that genetic code. This is commonly achieved through acts of lust with humans of the opposite gender, though science has made it possible to do so without even the slightest hint of lust (ie. "Artificial Insemination"). One con to this instinct is the continuation of overpopulation, a problem getting increasingly severe every day. The need to feel content is the main servitor to the "will to live". This is the want and acceptance of the survival instinct. This sub-instinct encompasses many methods and ways to remain content. Contention may be achieved through lust, artistic expression, and anything which serves to satisfy your personal tastes. There are too many to list here. It is anything that would keep one inspired to remain alive. Dominance has been a very apparent sub-instinct through out history. Time shows it being expressed through war, debate, politics, competition, etc. This is the method of deciding who are the leaders, and who are to be the followers. Through all of these sub-instincts, man exists as an animal surviving.

The human body has many trappings and hidden beneficial features. These are commonly shown through martial art techniques, tantric arts, and new scientific discoveries. Over the æons, the human species has evolved from a one-celled organism in the sea to an adaptive multi-system creature. It has it's own inner-defense mechanisms, mental defense functions, multiple thought-process systems, and much more. It's mysteries have still not been completely mastered, if even realized. The potential for creation and destruction lie extreme in the human body. We can duplicate, destroy, and enslave our own kind. Though it is far from certain if we truly are the dominant species on this planet, we certainly seem to be. If this is not so, then we are definite contenders.

From our bodies we can transfer bio-chemical energy into the earth and replenish it from the earth. This is most commonly done with the feet and is known as "grounding". From our genitalia we can cause much pain, pleasure, and multiply our race. This is a process known as pro-creation, more commonly known as mating. Humans have the ability to project energy from their bodies. This quite possibly may be simply the extending of the low-level radiation emitted from the body (known in the occult world as the "aura"). It is commonly associated with the solar-plexus. We feel what is known as emotion. It is a mental-based feeling which is a combination of instinct, energy, hormones, and brain-based chemicals. Over the years, romantics and poets have attributed this to the heart, a muscle which controls the circulatory system. This organ resides in the chest area. With our minds we can compute hundreds of thoughts, feelings, and fragments of information at any given moment. The mind processes all of the information the rest of the body gives it via a network known as the Nervous System. The brain is the hub of this mass network of sensors throughout the body known as nerves. The nerves collect this information known as stimuli and, as electrons, sends the stimuli to the brain for processing. The brain then processes this information and two levels of reaction are made. These levels are conscious thought and subconscious thought. Conscious thought is perceived. It is the level we immediately realize. Subconscious thought is a level we do not always perceive, but there are techniques to condition oneself to realize it. Such techniques are known as gnosis and meditation, among others. When one reaches a state such as this, (s)he perceives what is stored in the subconscious. There are five senses perceived by the nervous system. These are: smell, touch, taste, sight, and sound. Smells are received and collected through a body part located on the face (the front section of the head) known as the nose. The nose is comprised of a protruding 'bridge' made from cartiledge, two nostrils which receive the smells, and tunnels through which the gaseous material they take in travel. The sense of touch is perceived all over the body within the skin through nerve endings, which act as tiny receptors for this data. Taste is received through an organ within the mouth (an orifice on the face located just below the nose in which air and food are taken in) known as the tongue. This protruding organ is made up of muscle and taste buds, which receive the taste-information. The sense of sight is taken in through another face-based pair of organs just above the nose called eyes. The eyes take in light through a part known as the pupil. Then, the information of the light is sent to the brain for processing. Finally, the sense of sound is perceived by a pair of organs on opposing sides of the head known as ears. The ear is a tunnel-like orifice which detects vibrations in the air and sends the information to the brain for processing. There is much speculation over a sixth sense, which will be discussed later in the Spirit chapter. From all of these senses, the brain constantly collects data and processes it. Once processed, it stores this data in the brain. Retrieval of this information is known as recall. The information itself, once stored, is called memory. Without the brain functioning, the body is useless. The brain controls the body's "motor-functions" as well. These are the natural sustaining functions the body commits without conscious thought, keeping the various parts working.

Spirit
Throughout known human history, there has been much debate, war, and speculation about the "spirit". Many religions have attempted to define it, but few have done anything more than make it an excuse to worship a god. The spirit, also called the "soul", is the energy sustaining our body and mind. It is the consciousness/subconsciousness (and all of it's levels), and it is the energy holding our very molecules together. The electrons, neutrons, and protons within the atoms that make up our very being. Some believe it is imprinted with our personalities and mannerisms. Some feel it is just energy and those aspects of ourselves are developed over time from birth, as events have proven to shape our lives and who we are.

There are many various beliefs on how the spirit comes into being at birth. One old belief is that, at the very moment a child is born, the soul enters the body. Others state that it is a piece of the mother's soul that grows with the fetus inside the womb, and continues to grow once born and throughout life. The spirit is considered both just the consciousness-subconsciousness, and every last bit of energy within us (consciousness/subconsciousness, and the energy holding our molecules together). Either way, it has existed in every belief system known to humankind, and is known to science on a few levels. Does this mean it exists? Most likely.

The sixth sense is a name pertaining to what para(pseudo?)-scientists call, "extra-sensory perception". Basically, what it is, is the human perception of various levels of energy around us. At every moment, we have particles of matter one-billionth of a micron in size and smaller passing through us. Do we perceive this normally? No, we do not. How is it possible to have uncountable amounts of matter passing through our bodies at every moment in our lives and not notice? Have we, as a race, become accustomed to it? The answer is unknown to me, but the point is made in the question itself, not the answer. There are things we do not normally perceive, and they do exist. The eyes only detect light at certain levels and the ears only pick up vibrations at certain frequencies. The sixth sense is a level of perception that involves all of the senses in which they adjust to detect other various levels of energy around us. A university recently held light in a container for a period of time and released it... to physics, that was not possible until now. Does this make light, matter? Or matter just a certain set of light/energy frequencies? Is what was once considered energy now considered matter? Possibly. Much of our scientific laws are 'majority-rules' opinions that are pushed into us as children... and act commonly known as conditioning. There are absolutes, things do exist... but do we perceive them as they are, or as we are? I would bet we perceive things how we want to or how we have been conditioned to. Maybe it's time to perceive them how they are, not how we are. Anyne feeling up to breaking down a life's worth of conditioning? I didn't think so.

The Three Types Of Human
I have here classified three different types of Human Being, divided by mental state. In the three following paragraphs, I present to you my somewhat detailed description of these divisions. It is up to the reader to decide how he or she sees this. In other words, it is your decision whether or not you choose to see these a separate species or merely separate mindsets. The most logical theory pertaining to the origin of this division would be evolution. Homo-Improbus would of course be first, the herd-race of humans. Following this was Homo-Sapien, those who's minds were developed enough to break away from the herd of Homo-Improbus and lead them in the building of mighty civilizations. This was not enough, as evolution does not rest. Following the division of leaders and followers came Homo-Supernus. This, "Superior Human", arose from the leaders to bring humankind another step closer to mastery of itself. The human manifestation holds many secrets, and it is up to Homo-Supernus to figure them out.

Homo Improbus, "human inferior"       The herd. The mindless masses who would be content to wallow in their self-stagnation and mental feces. This is the person whom little or no effort would be neccesary to use or control. They are weak of will, mind, and at times, body. Physical strength is not a determining factor, but will. They are at a lack for self and will, and for such will not survive the ages.

Homo Sapien, "human wise"
Those who have risen above the herd with their exceptional intelligence. People who have seen the herd mentality for what it is and have separated themselves from it, thus making themselves free from it's conformism.

Homo Supernus, "human superior"
The leaders. The ones who have the qualities of the Sapien but also carry with them the strength to rule. these people are completely free from the bind of society and truly know themselves. Conformity is not even an issue with this type. The self and the few loved ons are the highest to this person.

Of Godform Principles And Inter-Species War
Many of you may or may not be familiar with the popular (within the circles of Chaos Magi) concept of 'godforms'. For those that aren't, I shall explain it for you. A godform is the fully-reached potential of a self-created being. It's the astral equivalent of the Lovecraftian Shuggoth. If you believe something exists completely, then it does exist, but by your own power. This is how a godform is created. Many people may believe a certain deity exists. Through the combined power of their will, it certainly does exist! This is commonly known as an act of "mind over matter".

If one were to apply the principles of a godform to events and future predictions, the future would be determined solely by the dominant collective will. The general event predicted would occur. The mass fear and hysteria over Y2K created a very peaceful, calm New Year's celebration. No big nuclear explosions, no mass rioting, nothing. Just a celebration like any other. What if one were to apply this godform principle to Race War? Certainly there are little hints of it everywhere, but is it really what they see it as? Or is it between the Homo-Improbus and Homo-Supernus? Nature is the mightiest collective will, and one constant in nature has always been, "the strong survive". To define a race war with skin color or ethnicity is asinine. A war such as that already exists on subtler levels and has for all time. It is not based on the popular superficial aspects, though. It is based on strength. Not physical strength, though that may come into play, but it is based in strength of will. Only the strong will survive this war... are you strong enough?
