Okay, I've been wrapped up in my life and cycles, and haven't had time to write. Long story short, wasn't pregnant last cycle that I wrote about. I may have had a beta of 6, but it didn't rise, so there. One more chemical pregnancy for me.
We sold our house, but not before having to do lots of work on it and bring certain issues up to snuff that were found on the inspection report.
I can't believe I missed 2 whole months writing to you, but shit happens. Spent June and July on birth control pills to get my cycle synched up with our donors. Started my Lupron July 23rd, and was doing my injecitons like a good little girl. Had an u/s to make sure that my ovaries were quiet, then began delestrogen in oil shots to build up my lining. Lining got up to 6.6, which for me is good.
Meanwhile, my donor started her injectable meds on 8/10. She had 9 follicles, after 3 scans and about a week, those 9 follicles developed nicely. She had her egg retrieval on 8/23, and they were able to get 9 eggs from 9 follicles, which was really great. We found out the next day that of the 9 eggs, 5 had fertilized, 3 had not, and one slutty little egg had let in more than one sperm and had to be discarded. We went in 3 days after the retrieval and transferred 3 8-cell embryo into me. I nicknamed them Hope, Faith and Grace. As in I Hope this works, I must have Faith, and if it does, it will be by the Grace of God. The remaining two embryos were left in the lab to go to blastocyst and then be frozen for future use. Unfortunately, they didn't survive, so all we have are what were transferred into me.
I'm scheduled to take my beta test on Wednesday. I'm currently 8 days past a 3 day transfer, and feeling good. No cramping, and my breasts are sore and sensitive. I'm up all night peeing, but what is new there? Most of these symptoms could be (and are) attributed to the massive amounts of progesterone that I'm pumping into my body. I'm doing 1 daily progesterone in oil (PIO) shot, plus 3 progesterone suppositiroes. I also do Delestrogen in oil shots twice a week, Tuesday and Friday. My hips are beginning to bruise and feel lumpy, but overall the shots aren't that bad.
I'm most likely going to test with an hpt Wednesday am before my beta, just to have an inkling of what the results will be. I don't have the stamina to wait all day for that loaded phone call -- I'd rather have an idea of what the voice on the other side of the phone is going to say, then receive that call clueless. I'm too afraid I'll be crushed.
