What is the deal with Taito and Yamachi? What's the difference?
Ah this. This is also misused even I do it most of the time cause it doesn't matter to much to me.:) First of Taito and Yamachi is TaichixYamato(TaixMatt) and YamatoxTaichi. So whats the diff? Does it include all couples? If you really care to be accurate all the time then yes it makes a diff. So how do you determine whos name is first and how do you make something like Taito. Well I'll use an example to show you

Okay we'll use Taichi and Yamato. In just about all cases you use the jap names. Why? Cause you know USA wouldn't show homosexual stuff in cartoons. There is only one exception to this rule that I know of and thats Yomi I'll get into that later.

Okay first take your couple. Now here is where the Yamachi and Taito bit comes in. This goes for any couple. Ahem to decide who's name is first you decide who the Seme and Uke is. If I didn't get those two turned around Seme is the one do it and the uke is the one recieve these terms apply to (and I'll be honest the rest of you be mature) sex. Yes thats what I said. It's basicly seme is top and uke is bottom. You understand? But I'm not righting a lemon Well then put it this way who is going to start the relationship i.e who will ask who out. You see now? Okay next step.

Okay since Taito is more popular name I'll go with that which means Taichi will be the seme and Yamato the uke. As I mentioned before this doesn't have to pertain to sex. Okay so now that that is done you take the begining of the seme's name and put it first the number of letters varies but its usually about anywhere from two to four. This case its three Taichi. Now you take the last few letters of the uke's name and put them after the seme's name. This varies alot from two to about five. In this case its two Yamato So now you put these together and you get Taito. Even though Taito is used the most it will refer to Yamato starting a relationship to but since Taito is used so much it goes for that too. As for a long one the longest uke name I can think of is a case like Mishiro in which case Koushiro has five letters instead of the usual to-three.

Now what about this all jap names except one?
Oh yes well there is only one non jap name I can think of in a pairing and as I said thats Yomi which is Yolei and Mimi. You can't use the jap names here and make it sound good. Why? Here is why.

Okay using the rules we use Miyako (Yolei) as the seme and Mimi as the uke. If we do we get Mimi. Now what if we do it oppisite? Then we get Miyako (strange ne I think its trying to tell us something lol)
