'Faith? I have no faith...'

�

"Yes coach!" said all the players of Tai's soccer team, all smiling. Except Tai. He just stared at the ground, falling once again in his own thoughts. It's been one month now that Matt started to date Sora. A month that the one he thought was his soul mate started to date his best friend. A month that his heart arched each time he saw them together... a month that the boy he loved more than anything slipped away from him.

�

'How can he date her?! Not that she's bad, but it's not right. She's not good enough for him. When I thought about that... it make me sick!'

�

"Taichi!" he looked up and saw that all his team mates were already gone. There was just his coach standing in front of him, slightly frowning.

�

"Yes, coach?" he asked.

�

"Come on, it's the third time that I said that your friends left. God, what's wrong with you, lately? Your were better than that!" he asked, a bit annoyed. Tai just looked away. He knew he sucked again at the practice. Since his world turned upside down, he wasn't the great soccer player he used to be. Feeling a hand on his shoulder, he looked up to see his coach's worried face.

"I'm sorry, coach. I just had a lot of my mind lately." He said.

�

"What's wrong? Do you have a problem in your family or something? You were the best player of the team, Taichi. You have to react!"

�

"I know, I'm not good anymore. And no, I don't have a family problem, I... I just have to fine some problems. I'll be fine soon." He said as he walked away.

�

"Okay, but please, you have to be good the day of the match." Called his coach as he walked in the changing-room. He stripped down, took a long shower and walked back toward his bag, a towel around his waist. Now, there were only three members of his team in the changing-room.

�

"Hey Tai!" said one of them as Tai quickly dressed in his school uniform. "You're okay, man? This is the first time I saw you played that bad. You used to be the best striker, before!"

�

"Yeah, why don't you tell us what's wrong?" said another one.

�

"I bet I know!" said a third one. Minus Tai, the others two looked at him.

�

"Really?"

�

"Yeah... I bet it's because he was dumped." He said "I had a friend who had the same problem so I guess its tha..."

�

"LOOK! I WASN'T dumped! I don't have a problem!!! So just SHUT UP, you know NOTHING!!!" yelled Taichi at him. His three friends started wide eyes at him, not expecting this. Tai's anger face slowly fade to an apologize one.

�

"I... I'm sorry but... you can't help..." he said softly as he grabbed his bag and stormed out of the room, leaving three confused players staring at the door.

�

"You're right... it must be a love problem." Said one of them as the other two nodded.

�

"He knows nothing... they know nothing..." mumbled Taichi as he walked in the park. "Just my luck... I'm gonna have no friend anymore... I have to play better if I don't want to be out of the team..."

�

"Speaking alone?" said a voice. He turned around and saw Matt, smiling at him. Tai's heart melted as he looked at him. Sora was damn lucky to have such beautiful boyfriend!

�

"Eer... no... just thinking..." he said, looking away.

�

"Tai, talk to me." Said Matt as he walked in front of him " Since a few weeks, you avoided me and I don't even know why..."

�

"Really?" said Tai, smiling sadly "Well, considering that you have band practice and that you're always with *Sora*!"

�

Matt didn�t miss the emphasizing on Sora and looked weirdly at him.

�

"Tai, it's not because I'm with Sora that you don't have to come to me." He said gently "Remember that you're my friend and I just want you to be happy."

�

"Happy?" said Tai, looking at him "How can I be happy? My life, school, sport! Everything is screw for me!"

�

"No, it's wrong!" said Matt sternly "I wouldn't let that happen!"

�

"Too late. You can do nothing, Yamato Ishida. Not since that happened!" he said, glaring at him. Matt looked at him, shocked and confused. It looked like it was his fault.

�

"What did I do Tai?" he asked. Tai looked at him for a few second, an angry look on his face. Just as he was about to say something, they heard someone calling them.

�

"Yamato! Taichi!" It was Sora. Tai mentally groaned. He knew what was going to happen. Sora would practically jumped on Matt, made him talked to her and he'd be forgotten. It happened already several times.

�

"You didn't guess yet?!" he said angrily as he stormed off, leaving Matt confused. Then, he felt Sora jumping in his arms, a grin on her face.

�

"I'm happy to see you, I missed you!" she said.

�

"You missed me? I saw you two hours ago." Said Matt.

�

"You mean that you didn't miss me?" she said, confused.

�

"Yeah, of course I missed you." He lied, with a forced smile. He didn't miss her at all. He did miss someone but it wasn't her.

�

'Taichi... what's wrong with you?' He thought sadly, feeling tears in his eyes. He quickly stopped himself from crying as Sora dragged him toward a bench.

�

"Come on, let's spend some 'good time'." She said, giggling. Matt wasn't that happy. He just wanted to be with Tai.

�

'If it was him who confessed his love to me, it would have been better...'

�

Once, Matt and Sora were out of sight, four figures, two girls and two boys, appeared from some bushes.

�

"See, we were right, Miyako!" said one of the girl "It's a pity! I wonder why he dates her! He should have date my brother, not Sora!"

�

"I know, but they're both too coward to admit it to the other. And Matt didn't want to break Sora's heart." Said Miyako. Then she turned to one of the boy

�

"They're not like you."

�

"Yeah, when you asked me out, I really said what was on my mind." he said.

�

"And you told me just after..." said the other one, smiling, as he put his arms around his waist.

�

"It took sometimes, but I saw how strong your love was." Said Miyako, smiling.

�

"Okay, everyone." Said Kari as she turned toward them. "I'll tell you what to do... Ken, do you still have your *lucky song*?"

�

"Yeah, why?"

�

"Well, here's my plan..."

Tai entered in his apartment and shut the door, not caring if his parents heard. He immediately went in his room, locked the door and threw himself on his bed. Not wanting to hold it anymore, he started to sob hysterically. Not wanting someone to hear, he grabbed a pillow and buried his head in it, his cries muffled. For a few minutes, he just cried until he fell asleep, tired because of the game, tired of crying, tired of being heart-broken.

�

In the park, the blond boy was in deep thoughts, not caring about what his girlfriend was saying. He thought about Tai, the one he really loved. But then, there was Sora. She was his friend too and he didn't want to make her unhappy after she confessed her feelings to him. Yet, he felt that was a mistake. He wasn't happy, neither was Tai since then.

�

'Is there a chance that he loves Sora? That would explain why he acts weird around us... Perhaps I should let him take her... But then, Sora loves me and I love him and I think she doesn't love him except as a brother, but it's not the same for him... aw, shit, nothing has sense. Or maybe Taichi loves me and...'

�

"Matt! Yamato!" He was brought out of his dreams as he heard someone calling him. He turned around and saw Daisuke running toward him and Sora.

�

"Uh? Daisuke? What do you want?" he asked.

�

"Come with me! I have to show you something!" he said, grabbing his arm and pulling him away from Sora, who started to protest.

�

"Daisuke! We were talking!" she said as she got up.

�

"YOU were talking. And beside, you'll see him at school tomorrow. Now come on, Ishida, it's important!"

�

Without waiting for an answer, he ran away from Sora, who continued to complain, dragging Matt behind. After a minute of running, he abruptly stopped, causing Matt to almost bump against him.

�

"There you are." Said a female voice. Matt looked and saw Miyako, Hikari and Ken, smiling at them.

�

"Kari? Ken? What happened?" he asked, confused.

�

"You're going to sing in three days at Tai's game, right?" she said "Well I've something for you to sing. TK said that you needed a new song."

�

"Oh... and... uh..." he mumbled as Ken gave him the paper.

�

"I wrote that for Daisuke a while ago. I always kept it in my school bag, I named it my 'Lucky Song' coz it gave me the chance to have him."

�

"What?!" said Matt, shocked. Daisuke smiled, took Ken in his arms and kissed him softly.

�

"The first time Ken sang it to me, I was so happy... My dream had come true." He said, looking deeply in his lover's eyes.

�

"So, at the game you'll sing it to express your love for Taichi." Said Hikari.

�

"WHAT?! What the hell..." he said, very shocked as he looked at them. "I don't love Taichi! I..."

�

"Yeah, yeah, of course." Said Miyako, smiling. "Remember that I've the crest of Love. It only shines when you're together, not when you're with Sora. That means

that you feel a beautiful and strong love for each other."

�

"You'll make my brother and yourself happy." Said Kari "Sora will get over it. She can't keep you and Tai apart."

�

Matt said nothing for a moment and sighed. Why bother to keep his secret... well, it wasn't really a secret anymore.

�

"She won't. She just wants to be with me." He said, sighing.

�

"But you don't." said Miyako. Matt doesn't respond and she took it as a confirmation. "It's not by pretending you love Sora that you'll make her and yourself

happy."

�

"Are you sure that..."

�

"Yes, Taichi does love you." Said Hikari "There's no doubt. That explains his behavior toward you and Sora."

�

Yamato said nothing and looked at the song Ken wrote. A few moments later, he looked up at Ken and said:

�

"I don't know, Ken. We should know how to play it. Beside, how should I sing it?"

�

"Don't worry about that." Said Ken "I know exactly how you should play and sing it. Tomorrow, at your band practice, I'll show you."

�

"You know how to play?"

�

"Not really, but I know the melody by heart. It will be easy, you'll see. Three days is enough for you and your band to learn it."

�

'Guess I have no choice... but perhaps it will work'

Taichi stood outside the stadium, in his uniform team, looking at the sky. The coach said that he'd play his habitual role, striker, but that he should play good if he still wanted to be in the team.

�

*Guess I'll be throw out of the team... There's no way out-*

�

"Taichi!" He looked beside him and saw his sister and Daisuke running toward him. "Come on, you're gonna miss Matt's performance!"

�

"And so?" he said, shrugging. Not taking care of what he said, the two children took his arms and dragged him in the stadium. He tried to get free but they weren't ready to let him go. Finally, after a few minutes, they joined the other digidestined, waiting for Yamato to perform.

�

"You're ready to play, Tai?" asked Koushiro, smiling.

�

"Er, not really... I don't feel good..." said Tai, slowly.

�

"Not for too long." Said Hikari, smiling. Just as Taichi was about to speak, music was starting to play. Taichi looked at the Matt's band, which was playing on the field. During several moments, they played some old songs, well knew by all the fans. Then, Matt pulled off his guitar, put it beside him and looked at the people. Some music started to play, as he scanned the crow in the tribune.

'How can I find him? This is impos-'

�

He stopped dead as he saw Hikari, Takeru and Miyako waving their arms. Then he saw Taichi. He smiled, closed his eyes and started to sing.

Taichi blinked in confusion as he heard the lyrics. He knew that Matt was looking directly at him but he couldn't understand why he sang these words.

The music faded slowly and the crown cheered as Matt finished the last song. He waved at the crow and looked up where Taichi was... to see that he wasn't here anymore.

"Gendo, can you take my guitar? I need to catch someone immediately!"

"Uh... yes..." As soon as he said that, Matt ran trough the field to find Taichi.

Tai ran, not knowing where he was going. He didn't even care. He was too confused about Matt's song. He closed his eyes and opened them to see someone rushing toward him.

�YAMATO!!!�

�

He stopped and wanted to run in the other way, but Matt caught him and dragged him toward a room, which appeared to be his dressing room. He pushed Tai in it and locked the door. He turned toward him, and took his hand.

�

"You know it was for you, you know what it means." He said softly. But Taichi shook his head.

�

"No, you're saying that but... it's only for comforting me. You love Sora." He said, staring at the ground.

�

"No, I don't! I love you Taichi! I always have and I'll always will! I date Sora because I didn't want to hurt her and I thought that you'd never love me back." He said. He put his other hand under Tai's chin and left his head, so that they were looking in each other eyes.

�

"Taichi, I love you, I want you to know that. I'd never play with your heart, my own is yours just like your own is mine."

�

With that, he pressed his lips against Tai's, kissing him passionately. Tai could tell by everything that happened that he was sincere. When Matt broke the kiss, Tai immediately kissed him hard, hugging him with all his strength, surprising the slightly taller boy...

"Where did he go?" asked Sora to Gendo, one of Matt's band mates.

�

"Don't know, he said that he was catching someone." He said.

�

"Come on, Sora, we have to go and see the match!" said Miyako.

�

"No, I want to see my boyfriend first... he should be in his loge." She said, as she walked in the couloirs. "I have to congratulate him for his great performance."

�

They arrived in front of Yamato's loge and heard some noise.

�

"I knew it! He's here!" she said, smiling. Without knocking, she opened the door and entered.

"Matt, honey, that was grea..." she stopped talking and her eyes almost pop out of their orbits at the scene. Matt was lying on the sofa on top of Tai, both half naked and kissing each other passionately.

�

Hearing her, the two boys abruptly stopped kissing and looked up at her.

�

"Sora?!" they said in unison. Sora didn't answer and faint in Miyako's arms, who looked embarrassed.

�

"Hehe.. Sorry, I didn't know you both would be there." She said, blushing. "Er, we'll see you later."

�

With that, she closed the door, with Sora in her arms. Then, Kari and Daisuke ran toward them. Seeing Sora, both looked at her, smiling.

�

"I guess she walked on them, uh?" Hikari said, giggling lightly.

�

"Yeah, but we do we do now?" asked Miyako.

�

"We'll manage something." Said the shorter girl as she knocked on the door of Matt's room and said:

�

"Better be ready, Tai, the match started in five minutes."

�

"COMING!" he answered from the other side.

�

"I hope he'll play good like before, now." Said Daisuke.

�

"Don't worry, I'm sure he will." She said, smiling.

�

"For Taichi... HOURRA!!!" screamed Tai's team. They crushed the other team, by winning 11-0. They were all in their changing-room, talking, singing and laughing. Tai was really enthusiastic during the game and had scored all the goals, which had surprised everyone in his team.

�

"I'm glad we have the old Tai back again... Just a few days ago, you weren't in good shape. What happen, Yagami? You ate tiger, or something?" asked his coach, smiling.

�

"No, I just found what I missed." Said Tai as he dressed.

�

"Which is?" asked one of his teammates.

�

"Private, sorry... I'll see ya'all tomorrow." He said, smiling, as he took his bag and walked out of the room with some others guys. Outside, he walked in the parking lot, where were only his friends and sister. He was met by a lot of cheers from them, except Sora who was trying to talk to Matt.

�

"Matt, you know you love me, we're..."

�

"Taichi!" said Matt as soon as he saw him. Tai quickly ran toward him and hugged him tightly.

�

"Thanks to you, Matt. I wouldn't have made it without you." He said as he lightly kissed him on the lips.

�

"You're back again, uh?" said Hikari.

�

"Yeah, but how did you know that I loved him?"

�

"Thanks to me!" said Miyako proudly "Don't forget that I've the crest of Love, and I saw that your love for each other was strong."

�

"What do you mean?!" said Sora, angry. "I was the FIRST to have the crest of Love, and I didn't see it!"

�

"Because you were way too blind to see it." Said Jyou. "So try to accept it. Everyone here is happy for them."

�

"But-"

�

"So you're now officially a couple?" asked Takeru, ignoring Sora, as he put an arm around Hikari. "Look like we have a... 'Family Love'!"

�

"But... but that's not possible." Said Sora "Yamato, I thought that..."

�

"That what, Sora?" he said, "Sorry, but I love Taichi. Always have and always will. So accept us or go away."

�

Sora looked at him, tears filling her eyes. She turned and ran away from them, not accepting that the man she loved didn't love her back. The others looked at her,

silent, when Hikari spoke up.

"She'll get over it, don't worry."

�

"I don't really care." Said Taichi, smiling, as he held Matt "Even if she was my best friend, she kept MY Yamato away from me, she deserves to suffer."

�

"Bad Taichi..." said Matt, giggling as he leaned and kissed him. They both continued and TK and Hikari had to push them inside Matt's car, so they could kiss

without being caught.

�

"So... who left in my car?" asked Jyou.

�

"Minus Tai, Matt and Sora, we're seven. You can take everyone in your car?" asked Miyako.

�

"Yeah, but what about Matt's car?" he said. Hikari coughed lightly and pointed Matt's car. Jyou could see that they were making out in the back seats, forgetting that they were here.

�

"Er, okay... Everyone in the car!" he said as everybody rushed toward his car. He then bent, knocked lightly on the window and said:

�

"Guys, if I were you, I'd wait 'til I was at home." He said, before leaving. The two lovers looked at each other, blushing, as they quickly put their shirts back on and drove away.

�
