He tries hard to get the best grades to make his family proud and happy Social Status - Yuki is a regular social butterfly. He's active and social and draws people to himself like a magnet. He's also a very sweet and caring friend that people enjoy being around. He makes other people happy. Love Life - Yuki is an in the closet homosexual. He found out in a very odd way (see history). He's very confused about why he likes boys, so he tends to date girls because that's what he thinks he should be doing and also just for the heck of it. He finds them nice and fun to hang out with, and most of his "girlfriends" become best friends of his because he's just too darn nice to be mad at for long. The biggest reason he is in the closet is his mother, whose traditionalist views would require that he kill himself to protect the family�s honor. Family and Friends � Asuru Kafuu � Yuki�s mother is a strict, proper traditional Japanese woman. She liked keeping everything in the household in its proper place, including her children and husband. At times she could be a bit fearsome. However, this was a rare occurrence with Yuki, who was everything she wanted in a son: popular, active, intelligent, and hard working. She loves her son and pampers him a lot. Yuki is afraid to let her down in anyway, including by being gay. She filed for divorce from her husband because she couldn�t stand the thought of him raising their children for another day. She sent the children to her mother�s house and doesn�t visit them their but rather invites Yuki to her house on occasion. Keishi Takouno (Ignored by Great Happiness) � Yuki�s father is an out or work writer. He usually spent most of his time at home with the children looking for his muse, which his wife didn�t approve of. He is very depressed about the divorce because he loves his wife greatly. He favors Yuki�s more artistic sister, Netamu, but he does not hate his son. Yuki feels a great deal of pity for him because he only wants his father to be happy, but he can�t quite understand his father�s depression. Nekkyou Kafuu (Crazy about Tradition) � Yuki�s grandmother is slightly eccentric. She is a shut in that doesn�t leave the house. This is due to the fact that her little brother died when she was very young by falling down the stairs. This really only hindered in the later parts of her life when she felt very alone. She adores Yuki because he reminds her of her little brother. She is a kind woman when you get to know her, and she takes good care of the children. Faye DeBeaute (Fairy of Beauty) � Faye is Yuki�s fun loving, best friend. She has blue hair with green highlights and maroon red eyes. She spent a lot of her lifetime traveling around with her family, moving from place to place. She was born and spent a good portion of her life in France. She loves to be cutting-edge and trendy. She makes sure that Yuki is always having a good time. She loves being unique and being the center of attention. However, she doesn�t consider herself to be perfect. She just plain likes attention. History - Yuki was always the little sunspot of happiness and cheer. He was very energetic and could hardly sit still. He had a tender heart for all living things. He was also a sensitive child who liked playing dress-up with his twin sister, Netamu. They lived in Japan their whole lives. During his elementary education, he met Lowell Baiser (Beloved Kiss). They became close friends. Lowell liked to sit quietly in the background as Yuki brightly shined. The two became almost inseparable. When Yuki was 8, however, Yuki was out bike riding with Lowell and his sister. A car came and hit Lowell, who was thrown a good distance. Yuki rushed to his side. As Lowell lay dying in his arms, he told Yuki to never ever lose his beautiful smile and to always be happy no matter what because Yuki "possessed a joy that could brighten up the world". With the last of his energy, Lowell pulled Yuki into a deep passionate kiss. His dying words were "I love you, always." That was when Yuki realized the depth of their relationship. He never wasted his time deeply mourning Lowell because he knew that his love was still with him. The first week after, he stayed up every night with his sister because he was still in shock and feeling very vulnerable. In those dark night hours, he would talk to his sister about Lowell and how much he loved him and all the things he would do with Lowell if he were still alive. The rest of his years, he lived in confusion, half-afraid of anyone finding out he was gay. He dated many nice girls but ended up breaking their hearts. There were rumors passed around by people that he was gay, but no one really suspected the captain of the air soccer team who dated the most popular girls in the school. Shortly after Lowell died, Yuki�s parents got divorced. He never really understood it fully and accepted it more as a temporary separation. Rather than squabble over custody, make visiting schedules, or split the twins up, their parents decided to leave them in the care of their grandmother where they could always visit the children.
