| Plot As we all know, the digital world exits as a seperate dimension from our own, though interaction is possible. Nine children blazed the trail of friendship between the real world and the digital world by using nine magical crests that united and healed both worlds. Because of their actions, every human gained a digimon friend to help them and love them, and every digimon received a human friend to raise them and treat them with respect. Everyone was living in peace for centuries after the original nine children and their colleagues died. Five thousand years after the digidestined died, at the dawn the new millenium, 7001, a virus appeared in the digiworld. It lacked a physical form, even in the digital world, but that didn't hinder it from taking over the entire world. It hated the interaction between humans and digimon because it thought the humans were exploiting the digimon. Under it's power, the digital world severed all ties from the real world and the humans forgot that digimon even existed. The virus continued its reign of power and terror, though it began to become curious about the physical form its subjects had that it did not. Curiosity soon developed into obsession and it craved a phyiscal form more than anything else. As a last desperate attempt to gain form after a long line of failed attempts, the virus "re-booted" the digiworld. It completely erased the enitre world, wiping out everything and everyone on it, and re-created it in a way that allowed for it's own existance. This meant that the world had been freed from the virus, or Malademon as she was now with a physical form. Malademon started to take over the digiworld again with her new body, but her progress was slower now than it had been the last time she had taken over. Unknown to Malademon, the original digidestined's spirits had sent the crests back into the digital world, each in a seperate hiding place. It was their combined strength that was preventing Malademon from gaining control again. The crests had also re-opened access from the digital world to the real world and vice versa. The first two digimon that were born free of Malademon's rule were Weissmon and Schwartzmon. They were the most powerful free digimon ever created and they combined their strength to try to defeat Malademon. Their attempt failed, however, when Malademon captured Schwartzmon and forced him to work for her. Under duress, Schwartzmon revealed to Malademon the existence of the crests. She decided to organize a group of humans from the real world, people who could find the crests and destroy them. That way, the access to the digital world would once again be cut off and the humans wouldn't be able to treat the digimon as slaves, as was the natural way for them. So, she ordered Schwartzmon to collect the Data Keepers, her own organized strike force to find and destroy the crests. Weissmon, learning of her plot, formed the Digi Keepers, a force to find and protect the crests so that Malademon could not take over the digital world. And that is where our story begins . . . |
