It starts by showing a black gear flying in the sky. Then T.K. almost falls off of a cliff. They then decide to go on and try to find how to go back home. They now found some telephone poles and decide to follow them in hopes of finding civilization. Sora points out that the poles aren't even connected and Mimi takes out a compass. It doesn�t work, and Izzy knows why. He has discovered that there are small traces of metal in the ground that could affect the compass needle. They continue to walk for some time when Tai sees that there is a village in the distance. The kid's spirits have now risen until they find out how small the village is. This village is full of Yokomon. Then Biyomon explains to the Yokomon that Sora and her friends are called human beings. Sora then realizes the purpose of the digimon is to protect Sora and the others. Izzy wonders what the Yokomon will be serving them and T.K. sees the water. The Yokomon say that the water comes from Mt. Miharashi. It is the purest water in the world because heat from Mt. Miharashi's volcano boils away all the germs. Just then all of the water evaporates and Meramon comes off of the mountain acting insane. Because Meramon is a fiery digimon when he touches the forest it suddenly bursts in flames. Meramon is in extreme agony because a black gear was stuck in him. Everyone then panics and tries to get away because Meramon is headed toward the village. The hundreds of Yokomon along with the digidestined find safety, except Sora realizes that Biyomon is missing. Biyomon was trying to protect the Yokomon and won't come back so Sora tries to bring Biyomon back. Meramon then pushes Biyomon off the mountain but Sora catches her. Biyomon then tries to attack Meramon but her weak Spiral Twister attack doesn't do anything. Then some more of the rookie digimon attack but merely make Meramon stronger. Biyomon knows that she must digivolve into Birdramon. Birdramon and Meramon fight and Birdramon forces this black gear out of Meramon. Meramon has now returned to normal and everyone is happy once again. The Yokomon then give the digidestined the food they promised them. They didn't really know what it was but most of them ate it anyway.
