The bone jarring travel on the Poipet-Siem Reap Highway (or more correctly 'pothole-way') was an unforgettable experience!...and we did it twice! (into and out of Cambodia)

Crossing into Poipet. Poipet is not a favourite place with many travellers....filthy and teeming with beggars and pick-pockets.
The road from Poipet to Sisophon is sealed, so you can sit behind the pickup truck and snap photos.....
......until the stretch beyond Sisophon. Here our van has just overtaken a truck, leaving dust floating across the unsealed road.
A creative shot by one of the participants. We were on our return leg and stopped to replace a flat tire.
Civilization at the end of the long dusty road....Siem Reap town.....
....plus a vast lake too...(the floating village at the edge of Tonle Sap lake)
