Gaylor, Joe, age 44 of Bristol, formerly of Lake City, passed away at Bristol Memorial Hospital. Survivors: daughters, Karen Sue and Beverly Kay Gaylor, both of Bristol, mother, Edith Gaylor, brother, Bobby Gaylor, both of Lake City, sister, Mrs. Mary Sue Bunch, Caryville. Funeral service was Monday at Martin's Chapel. Rev. Ernest Ward officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. (donated by Susie Bullock [email protected] )

GRIGGS, Ada Mae (Foust)-

Anna Mae Foust Griggs age 74, passed away Thursday morning at her residence on Beechwood Road, Clinton. member of the South Clinton Baptist Church. She was an employee of the former Magnet Mills in Clinton. Member of the South Clinton Baptist Church. She was an employee of the former Magnet Mills in Clinton. After its closing she worked at Portwood Cleaners in South Clinton.
Preceded in death by son, Dan Douglas Foust, 1977. Survivors: Husband, Eugene W Foust; sons, Kenneth Foust, Clinton, E Gordon Foust, Douglasville, GA, David L Foust, France; daughter Elizabeth (Susie) Pratt, Clinton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday 3:30 p.m. Holley-Gamble Chapel, Dr Raymond Sanderson officiating. Interment Farmer's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Fred Giles Ex-Police Chief, Dies
Fred C. Giles, 73, of Dayton, Ohio, died July 4 in a Dayton nursing home. He had been in ill health. Giles served Oliver Springs as chief of police for 10 years, from the late 1950s to the late 1960s. He was formerly a supply sergeant with the Oak Ridge police department. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Oliver Springs Community Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school superintendent at one time. A native of Oliver Springs, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lum Giles. His wife, Virginia, died in 1960. He moved to Dayton in 1972. Survivors include five sons, Fred Jr. and Jack Lee Giles of Cincinnati, Ralph A., Frank E. and Berlin Giles of Dayton, four daughters, Mrs. Bill (Dixie) Cummingham of Lompoc, Calif. Mrs. Claude (Bonnie) Campbell Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla., Mrs. Alan (Ruth) Moore and Mrs. Verlin (Barbara) Duncan of Oliver Springs, 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchilden, two brothers, Tom and Howard Giles and a sister, Mrs. Nan Vann, all of Oliver Springs. Funeral services are to be held at 2p.m. Thursday (today) at the Sharp Funeral Home chapel in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Milford Ely officiating. Burial is to be in Oliver Springs Cemetery.
