Ex-guard Is Dead At Age 79 Monday.
Cecil Victor McCoy,79,a retired guard and military policeman for the Oak Ridge plants during World War Two, died at Oak Ridge Hospital Monday of apparent heart. He lived on Sulphur Springs Rd. Clinton Rt.5. A veteran of World War I, before retirement in 1945,he was an MP at Nitro, Va. He was a member of the Greeneville Methodist Church. McCoy is survived by his wife, Ota McCoy of Sulphur Springs Rd.
 seven daughters, Mrs. Lola Allen of Virginia, Mrs. Bernice Shaw of Johnson City, Mrs. Lillian Edwards of Ohio, Mrs. Naomi Elrod of Oklahoma, Mrs.Dorothy Herrell of Missouri, Mrs. Jean Barnett of Clinton, and Mrs. Nadine Hampton of Kentucky, two sons,Sp-5 Emmert McCoy of Munich, Germany and Rudolph McCoy Toledo, O, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Seaton of Alton, Tenn. and Mrs. Hassie Smith of High Point, N.C. 35 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in Greeneville at Gethsemane Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon with burial in the church cemetery. (donated by Susie Bullock [email protected] )

Mrs. McCoy Grandmother of 41,Dies
Mrs. Sarah Ota McCoy,82,of Black Oak community, Clinton Rt.5,died at 10:25 p.m. Monday at Oak Ridge Hospital
of cancer leaving 98 survivors. She was a former employee of the C. and S. Laundry of Oak Ridge. Mrs. McCoy was
a native of Greene County and resident of Clinton area for several years. Her husband, Cecil, died several years ago.
She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church of Greene County and enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Lola) Allen of Pennigton Gap, Va., Mrs. Alex (Bernice) Shaw of Johnson City, Mrs. Lillian Edwards of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Naomi Elrod of Clinton, Rt.5, Mrs. Warren (Dorothy) Harrell of Grandview, Mo., Mrs. Joe (Jean) Barnette of Clinton, and Mrs. Charles (Nadine) Hampton of Tallahassee, Fla, two sons, Emertt E. McCoy of Newport News, Va., and Rudolph McCoy of Toledo, Ohio, 41 grandchildren,42 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. Alta McCoy and Mrs. Alpha Monroe of Greenville, and three brothers, Rev. Perry McCoy and Fay McCoy of Greenville, and Earl McCoy of Detroit. Funeral services are to be held at 2p.m. Thursday (today) at Gethsemane United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. MCCOY, Rudolph-

MC COY Rudolph
Rudolph McCoy, 78, of East Toledo, died Saturday, October 19, 2002, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1924, in Parbee, Virginia, to Cecil and Sarah McCoy. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a self employed contractor. Surviving are Amy, his wife of 17 years; children, Nancy (Dave) Crawley, Mary (Dewayne) Bridges, Charles (Clara) McCoy, Debbie (Paul) Duncan, Janet (Ronald) Bullock, Mitch and Brian (Karla) McCoy, Jason, Brent (Melissa), Tony, and Ronda McCoy; stepchildren, Robert (Shelli) Wooley, Angela (Gary) Ribby, Patrick Wooley, Timothy and Richard Emery; 33 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; special grandson, Ben Covington. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Hoeflinger Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. The family asks any donations be made to his wife, Amy McCoy. MCKAMEY, Glen E-

Glen E McKamey 45, of Caryville, died Friday, July 5 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He attended New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Andersonville. He was a U S Army veteran. He was preceded in death by parents, Jessie and Everee Burress McKamey; sisters, Naomi McKamey and Aline McKamey Ward; and brother Lloyd McKamey, Survivors include wife, Nancy McKamey; sons, Scott McKamey of Norris and Steven McKamey of Clinton; brothers, Floyd McKamey of Chattanooga, Lewis McKamey, Clarence McKamey, Doyle McKamey all of Caryville, and Jerry McKamey of Virginia; sisters, Rosie Ford of Ohio, Mary Ward and Gail Howard of Caryville, and Della Wright of LaFollette; four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, July 8 at Cox Funeral Home with Rev James McCoy and Rev Luke Ward officiating. Death Of Miss. Gladys Miller
Miss. Gladys Miller, aged 22-years, daughter of George Miller, died last Thursday morning at her home in the Third district. She had been sick some time. Deceased is survived by her father and two brothers, Esco and Vasco Miller, also a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the Island Home Baptist church, conducted by Rev. J. J. Henderson. Pallbearer were Claudie Alley, Fletcher Alley, Elmer Kerr, Eugene Beets, Frank Wallace and Elmer Whaley. (donated by Susie Bullock [email protected] )
