Death and Funerals
The remains of John Moses Foust, 28 years, who was killed in Southern Railway yards at Jellico Friday July 28 were brought to Clinton Saturday morning and removed to the home place near Offutt on Clinch River, where funeral services were held Saturday afternoon. Foust was a flagman on Jellico local and while switching in the yards fell to the track between two cars. One car passed entirely over him, severing both legs above the knees, smashing both hands and bruising his face and body. He was placed on a passenger train for Knoxville hospital, but died before the train reached Newcomb. Deceased leaves a widow and four small children at Oakwood. FOUST, Herbert Monroe-

Farmer on Clinch dies after illness.
A longtime farmer along the Clinch Rive, Hebert Monroe Foust, of Pearch Orchard Rd, Andersonville, Rt 1, died last Thursday at his home after a long illness. Foust would have ben 83 on Friday. Foust & his wife, Mrs Luster Warwick Foust, had been married 60 years. The Anderson County native was an active member of the Island Home Baptist Church. Foust worked for a while in Michigan some years ago. In addition to his wife, Foust is survived by three
brothers, Claude Foust of Andersonville, Verlin Foust of Lake City & Homer Foust of Greeneville, & two sisters, Mrs Ruby Wilson & Mrs Flossie Housely, both of Lake City. Funeral services were held Saturday at Martin Funeral Home in Clinton & the Revs Tim Beets & John Lett officiating. Burial was in the Mt Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery on Sunday. Lake City Infant Is Stillborn
Hope Amanda Foust, infant daughter of Ricky Wayne and Angela Faye Foust of Jacksboro St. Lake City, was stillborn at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Ridge Hospital. Other survivors include a brother, Russell Andrew Foust, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Foust and Mr. and Mrs. Vestal Sharp, all of Lake City. Graveside funeral services are to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (today) at Leach Cemetery with the Rev. Bill E. Lamb officiating. (donated by Susie Bullock [email protected] )

FOUST, Laura (Davis)-

Laura Davis Foust, 84 of Clinton, formerly of Lake City, passed away Saturday, Sept 12, 1992 at the Anderson Co Health Care Center. She was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dover Foust, & parents, Nathan & Malinda Davis. Survivors are: sisters Hattie Davis & Rhoda Davis, both of Clinton; brothers; Lewis, Clinton; Cledith & Burrell, both of Lake City; & Basil, Wyandette, MI; three nieces & two nephews. Funeral services were 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Floyd Powell officiating. Interment was Wednesday at the Leach Cemetery. Leomia Foust, 58, of Route 1, Lake City, died Wednesday at her home, She was a member of Guiding Star Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, James C White of Lake City & Paul J Patterson of Knoxville; her daughters Delores Justice of Clinton & Deborah Amos of Lake City; her mother, Florence Foust of Lake City; her brothers, Carl K Foust of Lake City, Herbert Foust of Hammond, IN; & James Foust of NC; her sister, Eva Mae Foust of Lake City; six grandchildren & one great-grandchild. Funeral services were 2 p.m.
Saturday at Martin Chapel with Rev George DeLozier officiating. Burial follow in Foust Cemetery. (donated by Susie Bullock [email protected] )

Wendell E Foust
A Martin Marietta employee, Wendell E Foust, 56, died Oct 15 at St Mary's Medical Center of a heart attack. He had lived on Alley Road, Andersonville Rt 1 for the past three months. He had also lived on Fowler Street in Clinton & in South Clinton. Foust was an Anderson County native, the son of the late Dewey & Edith May Foust of the Hillvale Community. He married the former Sue Evans in 1955 in Knox County. Foust had been employed by Martin Marietta for the past 18 years as an iron worker. He was a member of the Hillvale Baptist Chruch & of Clinton Masonic Lodge No 376 F&AM & of the Knoxville Scottish Rite Temple. He served with the Army. A family member said he enjoyed working in his yard & his Masonic work. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Connie Teresa & Mrs Jeff (Tami) Stephens of Apex, NC; brothers, Lynn Foust of Morrow, GA, Kenneth Foust of Clinton; sisters, Mrs Roy (Sue) Utley of Clinton; Mrs Fank (Louise) Perrin of Atlanta; several nieces & nephews. Masonic services were held Monday, Oct 17, before the
funeral services, which were conducted by the Rev Bill Dawson at
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Burial was Oct 18 at Hillvale Cemetery. (donated by Susie Bullock [email protected] )

Former Medford resident Woodrow (Woodie) Foust, 60, died Aug 15, at his home in Luzerne, MI; He is survived by his wife, Sue; a son & daughter-in-law, David & Brenda Foust of PA; two daughters & son-in-laws, Gayle & Jim Adkins of IL; & Aura & Herbert Bradford III of Pontiac, MI; five grandchildren; his mother, Martha Keeler of FL, & his step-mother Annie Bunch of the Medford community; eight sisters & five brothers. Local brother & sister are Leon
Foust of Marlow & Cleta Seiber of Lake City. Services were held Aug 17, at the Gordon Funeral Home in MI. Burial was in the Luzene Cemetery. (donated by Susie Bullock [email protected] )

FRITTS, Georgia Mae (Isabell)-

Mrs Georgia Mae Fritts, age 73, of Lake City passed away Tuesday 3:40 p.m. at the Lake City Health Care Center. She was the wife of the Late James Lewis Fritts and was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. Survivors;
three sons, Claude L Fritts, Lake City, J C Fritts, Warren, Michigan and Tommy Joe Fritts, Alexander, Virginia, five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs Nellie Mae Reynolds and Mrs Sylvia Mowery both of Lake City, Route two, and Mrs Geraldine Hamm, Alexander, Virginia and two brothers, Robert Isabell, Lake City, Paul Isabell, Detroit, Michigan. Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Friday at the Beech Grove Baptist Church with the Revered Kenneth Seeber , and the Reverend Bill Dawson officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
