White Rice
Ingredients
2 cups of rice (long grain)
4 cups of water
2 tbsp of cooking oil
Salt (optional) to your taste
Procedure:
- Pour water and oil into 4-5 quart Dutch oven (cooking pot) and turn
heat to high.
- Bring water to a boil, and add rice, mix everything together with
large cooking spoon, and turn heat to medium high.
- When water evaporates (you see a bunch of pockets in the rice - at the
beginning the pockets contain water, and later on the water evaporates),
move rice with large cooking spoon, and try to place it all towards the
center of the pot. Lower temperature to medium low, and cover Dutch
oven with lid.
- Cook rice mix for approximately 20 minutes.
- With large cooking spoon move rice one more time, and it is ready to serve.
