Mavi
First Group of Ingredients
1 ounce of Mavi bark
1 ounce of fresh ginger
1 whole cinnamon
1 � cup of water
Procedure:
- Boil the first group of ingredients in a cooking pot for 5 minutes.
- Remove pot from stove.
- Using a strainer, filter the mix and let it cool down.
Second Group of Ingredients
12 cups of water
2 � cups of sugar
2 � cups of dark brown sugar
Procedure:
- Mix well second group of ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add to the mix the first group of ingredients that have already been
boiled and mix well until it start foaming.
- Pour Mavi into gallon bottles.
- For each bottle, prepare a plug made out of cloth rags.
- Place plug on bottle but not too tight. Make sure that you don't
leave any space so that the air filters properly.
- Place Mavi bottles outside and leave it in the Sun for 4 to 5 hours
until you notice that the Mavi is fermented.
- Place Mavi bottles in the refrigerator and drink it when it is very
cold because that is when it taste really good.
