Yamaha KM-802- Owned from April 2001 to present, bought for $95

This mixer seemed to be aimed at the "semi-pro" market when released. I think it cost something like $350 new, probably around 1986. It made a good first mixer for me because it's got decent features for the price, and it's small (as wide as the TX7). It's got 8 channels, with extra gain and EQ pots on the first 2 channels, and 3 aux sends/returns. The first 2 channels can only use the third aux send. At the time I couldn't find anything for the price with similar features, and the small size was definately a bonus as well. It's pretty cheaply made, most of the case is plastic. The pots are mostly pretty scratchy and the faders have these terribly flimsy plastic dust cover things. And it's got the lovely color scheme that adorned most 80's Yamaha gear- blue, green, and pink. Inside there's a power supply attatched to the metal bottom of the case, and all the mixer hardware is on one circuit board.

It isn't particularly useful to me now, so I wouldn't be opposed to selling it..
