It's not the winning, it's the taking part that counts.
Its not the winning its the taking part that counts..bollocks. Who the hell comes up with this sissy bullshit? No wonder we are shit at every conceivable sport when we groom the future of British sport with this crap. Its a cop out, a nothing saying, something that actually means nothing, it neither helps nor hinders anyone its ever been said to.if anything it just underlines their shittness.
We wanna start thinking like a real country, like Germany or Latvia (ha ha), we should rear the young sports stars on Be the best in the world.or find a new home. Thats the mentality that we need, instead of this bullshit tripe we dish out to ill looking children to make them feel good.what the fuck? With this negative tone, ambition goes straight out the window, it says to me No matter how shit you do, well treat you like a winner. What possible motivation could you have if youre gonna get treated the same win, lose or draw? Parents should help by telling their children Yes, I will love you more if you win or No, Christmas is only a celebration for those who succeed. It seems brutal but is worth it in the end. It is the type of saying that makes you feel good when you get Gifted the Biggest effort award or Most improved player..who the hell wants that? Its like going to the generation game and coming away with just the cuddly toy. You know it and I know it, its just a fake award given to that loser kid who couldnt play..but now he cant play a little better.
Its not the problem giving out the awards, its the loser kid (and all his shitty friends) believe that this token well done is as good or even better than Best player or 1ST place. This sissy, effort bullshit is false advertising and shouldnt be made to sound good when they dont require you to excel to obtain. They should call these farcical awards real names, with an honest representation of how and why it was awarded, like the If you think Im shit now, you should have seen me last year award or the I get an award every season because everyone feels sorry for me because of my tic/skin condition/haircut award and my personal favourite, the I turn up every meeting, training session and match, I never play, but I dont moan award. If awards were labelled honestly and we cut out this Never mind, you tried your best and thats all we can ask attitude (cause lets face it, it's not the most we could ask, how's about winning for once?) wed progress on the world stage. Not only that, but kids would know precisely why the got awards and they wouldnt be disillusioned by dreams of sporting success; theyd know their awards werent gained through radical physical prowess, more sympathy.

Any howits talk for losers.
