Tricks I've mastered |
for those of us who still don't know what the fuck a daffy or 360, ... is, here follows a short description |
Air |
a Spread Eagle is like the basic trick to begin with, just pop of the jump and while airborne spread your legs, when you are able to put your sticks between your legs Important is not to forget to close your legs before you land |
Spread Eagle: |
a Daffy is another basic trick, just put one leg in front of you and the other behind you, the tip of the front ski should point upwards and the one on the back downwards, again mind the landing |
Daffy: |
another basic trick, although I found this one more difficult to learn, cross the tips of your skis, hold that position as long as possible and make sure to land with your ski's uncrossed, this trick formed the foundation of new-school freestyle skiing |
Iron Cross: |
usualy done in combination wit a cross, just grab your ski right in front or just behind the binding |
Mute Grab: |
Tailgrab: |
grab the tail of your ski, what did you think.... |
Crossed Mute Grab: |
think... |
while airborne, point the tips of your ski's downwards, the tails should touch your shoulder |
Backscratcher: |
a 180 is half a rotation so that you land backwards (=fakie) |
180: |
a 180 started backwards so that you land 'normal' |
Switch 180: |
a full rotation, go up the jump with a fair amount of speed and throw your shoulder the left (or right, depending your favorite spinning direction, if you take the opposite direction it's called and unnatural or dirty) rotate and spot your landing) |
360: |
360 Cross: |
360 with crossed skis |
540: |
one and a half rotation, fakie landing |
Rail |
jump up, rotate 90land on an iron rail, keep your balance and slide |
Railslide: |
Halfpipe |
180: |
same as described on the air section |
180 but you turn uphill instead of rotating the ski's facing down the pipe |
Alley-Oop 180: |
same as described on the air section |
360: |
Tricks I'm working on |
one rotation start with your back facing the kicker, rotate and land fakie |
Switch 360: |
flipping well... backwards |
Backflip : |
