Entertainment Books will be coming home with your child on Monday! If you do not want the book just return it in the envelope. Back-to-School Night 每 August 30th 6:00 每 8:00 pm Adults Only. This is the time to hear what your child＊s teacher has planned for the school year. The schedule for the evening is 6:00 每 6:45 visit classroom; 6:50 每 7:10 everyone meets in the gym; 7:15 每 8:00 visit classroom. You only need to attend one session |
Family Fun -Taco Dinner/Bingo Night 每 September 21st will be our first Family Fun night. We will begin at 6:00 pm with a taco dinner. Those attending whose last name begins with A-M please bring one of the following shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, cheese or taco sauce. If your last name begins with N-Z please bring a dessert. PTA will provide taco meat, taco shells, iced tea, water and all the paper goods. If you would like soda to drink, please feel free to bring it. For bingo prizes, we are asking everyone to bring a wrapped white elephant gift. (Any family friendly item you have around the house that you would like to give away). Pre-K Night 每 Calling all 3 and 4 year olds. On September 27th we will have a Pre-K night for you. We will begin at 6:00 with a light dinner, a story and a craft. The evening will come to a conclusion by 7:15. Let your neighbors know about this fun time at Diemer. To register for Pre-K events (and so we have enough pizza!) please call the school at 993-3100. No School On Friday, September 28th, the John Diemer Staff will be involved in school improvement activities. Therefore, there will be no classes for Kindergarten through 6th grade students on Friday, September 28th. We are notifying you a month ahead so that you will have time to make arrangements for child care. Johnson County Parks and Recreation will offer a full day of care for those students who are already enrolled in their after school program. This school improvement day does not appear on the district calendar. In addition, all the district schools will take the regularly scheduled school improvement day on October 1st. If you have questions, please call the Diemer office at 993-3100. |
Adopt a Soldier Project We are continuing this awesome project for another year! We need updates on our soldiers from last year and any new ones that need to be added to our mailing list. If there is a soldier in your family or family friend that is serving our country overseas please contact Stacee at 262-7765 [email protected]. We will be collecting items as well to be sent, such as, plastic cutlery, reading material, baby wipes, bleach wipes, individually wrapped candies, travel size items and bulk items. Please no items that may melt or contain alcohol such as mouthwash. Soldiers appreciate letters and fun artwork as well! Please drop off all items in the office. Anyone interested in helping to box or mail these items let Stacee know as well! |
Holiday Fair/All School Supper-Diemer families have the first chance to sign up as vendors in the 3rd Annual Holiday Fair, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 2. Like last year, it will be open to the public. See the attached flyer for all the details |
