Diemer Eagles Get Out The Vote   

 

Voting is one of the many great opportunities we have in our country.  In November, it will be another great opportunity at John Diemer Elementary! 

 

Our students will get to decide, by popular vote, the theme for the December Spirit Day (December 1).  Voters will get to choose between 4 “candidates”:

 

1)      Crazy Hat Day

2)      Stuffed Animal Day

3)      Slipper Day

4)      Backwards Day

 

Just like in the real election, the Diemer voters will have to pre-register.  Just like the Johnson County Election Board, pre-registration closes before the actual voting.  Unlike Mom and Dad, our Diemer voters will have four opportunities to cast their votes:  Before school and at lunch on Monday, November 6^th, and before school and at lunch on Tuesday, November 7^th.  Results will be announced at the end of school on Tuesday, November 7.

 

Voter Registration:  Closes 3 pm Wednesday, October 25 (must be in the office).

 

Monday, Nov. 6 

Voting:             7:45 – 8:00       Front canopy and upper grade (south) front sidewalk 

                        In the cafeteria during regular lunch periods

 

Tuesday, Nov. 7

Voting:             7:45 – 8:00       Front canopy and upper grade (south) front sidewalk 

                        In the cafeteria during regular lunch periods

 

All polls will close at 1 pm on Tuesday Nov. 7.  Results will be announced before school is let out.

Remember, you must be registered to be able to vote!  Cut or tear off the form below and return it to school .
