On November 15, 2001 Microsoft launched the Xbox Video Game System in North America.  Many dismissed the system as the next 3DO, but they could not have been more wrong.  The Xbox has taken the world by storm, offering game experiences that often blur the line between fantasy and reality.  The true successor to the DreamCast is finally here.  And it is the Xbox.

The living legend of skateboarding, Tony Hawk, brings you into his world yet again with new features that take advantage of next generation system capabilities for even more cement shredding action than ever before, while keeping the same addictive gameplay you know and love.  Skate all new global locations including Tokyo, Los Angeles and Canada through 9 massive living levels unlike anything ever created in a skateboarding game.  You may not be able to live like the legend, but at least now you can skate like him.

REVIEW:
The Tony Hawk series really is amazing.  It seems that each new installment just keeps getting better and better.  The gameplay will be familiar to Tony Hawk veterans and is still the game's strongest asset.  All other xtreme sports games just don't have the refined, precise control that the Tony Hawk series has.  As usual there are plenty of incredible levels, the soundtrack is kickin' and the presentation is top-of-the-line.  The custom soundtrack option is supported so you can insert your own brand of skating tunes if you feel the need.  The graphics certainly do not push the Xbox to its limits (the game is a PS2 port after all), but they are sharp and detailed and the framerate is rock solid (Unlike the GC and PS2 versions).  What more is there to say?  If you want to play a great xtreme sports game than look no further than Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.  It does the great series proud.
