On November 15, 2001 Microsoft launched the Xbox Video Game System in North America.  Many dismissed the system as the next 3DO, but they could not have been more wrong.  The Xbox has taken the world by storm, offering game experiences that often blur the line between fantasy and reality.  The true successor to the DreamCast is finally here.  And it is the Xbox.

SUMMARY:
The Sega Sports NFL franchise charges onto the next-generation football gridiron with NFL2K2, an electrifying new game that's exciting to watch and even better to play.  Created by the team that owns the genre on Dreamcast, NFL2K2 for the Xbox combines the superior gameplay of its predecessors with brilliant graphics and broadcast-quality presentation possible only on today's most sophisticated interactive entertainment systems.

QUICK REVIEW:
NFL2K2 is the model of how a football videogame should play.  Passing the ball is incredibly intuitive when using the Zen-like max passing system.  The run game is equally impressive due to the perfect combination of lightning-quick responsiveness, easy-to-do moves and amazing player animations.  Defense is just as remarkable as offense due to a plethora of tackling animations and the same fast control responsiveness.  That being said, NFL2K2 is not for everyone. The game can be too easy on the first two difficulty levels only to change to near-impossible on the hardest level.  Also, many will be turned-off by the amount of effort and patience needed to become a skilled NFL2K2 player.  Those who do stick to it will be rewarded with an extremely gratifying football videogame experience that is second to none on the Xbox system.
