I had a jersey shopping spree just after studio final crit at both Queensway and Penisular shopping complexes in Singapore. Almost reaching the end of the 2002/2003 season, it is very hard to find the jerseys you want, especially if the clubs you are seeking is not from England. Italian and Spanish clubs are harder to find. Club jerseys that I did see are Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus. The choices are also very limited. My friend Johnny asks me to find Shevchenko's jersey with the famous black and red stripes of AC Milan but I cannot find the right size. I think the all black AC Milan jersey looks nice too.
Real have Figo, Raul, R.Carlos and Zidane jerseys around, both white and black as well as long sleeves. I did not see Ronaldo's jersey though. Anyway, glad that my dream to capture Raul's jersey is fulfilled. I almost get the Zidane jersey but the shop just won't give me a discount if I purchase two. Thus, I decide to grab his when Real Madrid achieve its 10th Champions' League trophy! hehe! It is possible so as a fan, must dream of its possibility!
Real goes into the 2nd leg of the quarterfinals with a 3-1 victory at Santiago Bernabeu. Old Trafford hopefully will be a nice hunting ground for them again. If Real pass the Manchester United test, they will likely be meeting their arch rival FC Barcelona, the only club I think left in the competition without a defeat to its name. The road ahead is not easy, but I believe Real Madrid are not 9-time champions for nothing. |
