Welcome to my new addition to Die Hard the Hunter's Hunting Home Page. This page is for NEWS and information that I want to share in reguards to hunting and also a way to share with you what I am doing in terms of getting ready for the hunting seasons and also what I am doing presantly, relating to hunting.

8/13/00

   Hello, and welcome. As you can see I am once again busy adding to this site, I am adding new pages and adding more links which keeps me going and helps me deal with the long wait for deer and elk season.
    Yesterday I took my girls to a NWTF JAKES event and had a great time. Samantha (my 3 year old) won a turkey calling contest, the grand prize was a little Quaker Boy box call. She beat out six boys all between the ages of 4 to 6. Samantha was the only girl in the contest. I am so proud of her!!   I would like to thank the South Sound Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation for their hospitality and their work in the education of our childern.
    I have been getting ready for the deer season by running out to Wal-Mart and buying some Realtree Xtra camo clothing and I also bought some things from Cabela's. I just finnished making a Bi-pod for my rifle, its plain, nothing fancy but I think it will do the trick.

   I want to start by thanking all of you who are showing interest in this site, it wont be long till the couter hits 1000. I want to encourage you to send in those pictures and stories so we can expand our site to make even more enjoyable. Oh! I want to thank those of you who have left msgs. on the messsage board as well.
    Well, in getting ready for the up comming deer and elk season, I have started going to the gym and streching those leg muscles and trying to get into a little bit of shape so the hills dont get the best of me this year as was the case last year. I think this year will be a much more enjoyable hunt. I just bought a new tent for this season, its a two room tent that sleeps 8 (nice and roomy).
    If you have any suggestions on how to make this site better or you have personal preferances on what you would like to see on Die Hard the Hunters Hunting Home Page just Email me with your suggestions.

Well its been a while since I have updated the site but things have been busy around here. I have been working hard to get ready for the big opener of deer season. I recieved my first piece of hate mail it will be posted on my stories page for everyone to read. It made me want to cry thinking about those helpless animals, I may give up hunting and become a vegitarian (not). For all you animal rights people out there, I will let you in on a few little secrets: The difference between hunters and vegitarians is our food has a chance to get away (poor little fruits and vegtables) and second, what kind of person would rather see an animal starve to death or get hit by a car and ripped apart while its still alive, huh?
I cant believe that we have reached 2000 hits on this site thank you all for visiting. I hope to be puting on lots of pictures form the hunt in a few weeks. I will be cleaning a few things up on the site as well, so keep checking in and dont forget to leave a msg on the message board.

Well, another hunting season has come and gone and for many of us we came home empty handed, but not without a head full of memories and wisdom. I know that out of this season came lots of good times and knowledge to be used on future hunts. We seem to go out and seek that trophy or monster animal that will make us the envy of the camp, but as we sat around the camp fire and shared stories of that big buck that got away or that 6x6 bull that someone came nose to nose with but could not shoot because it was a spike only regulation, those are the true trophys of the hunt. The stories that will stay with us forever and will be shared around the camp fire with friends and family for years to come and to be hung on the mantle of our heart's and mind.

I would like to thank those of you who welcomed me into your camp this year: Allen, Steve, John, Rosella, Cliff, Bob, Lyme (hope I spelled it right) and a special thanks to Jason from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's Heart K Ranch for helping with that Cow. All your hositality and kindness was heart felt and I hope to see you next year!

Well, Its been a few months since I brought you any news and I cant believe that we have 6000 hits to date, I never thought that I could get this far. Turkey season is upon us once again and I am making plans to harvest my first bird in a month from now. The racing world and the Hunting world where both rocked a few weeks ago by the passing of Dale Earnhardt, I remember watching him race and watching him hunt on tv, he was a great outdoorsman and he will be missed. Our prayes go out to his family and long live #3.

I would like to appologize for not updating this site lately but I have been dealing with several technical difficulties and computer problems. I hope that these problems are fixed (crossing my fingers) Its hard to believe that we are almost to 9000 hits on this site. Hopefully I can get the pictures that you have sent put on the site in the next few weeks, I have some good ones. It helps if you send them in a compatable format. unfortunately, I have lost some things that where sent due to problems with my e-mail. A little over a week ago our country was attacked by heartless cowards, please pray for the victims, their families, and America!
