DHS HISTORY
DHS was founded by 4 young men in response to a tyrannous clan which threatened to dominate Army Men II.

In June of 1999, when Army Men II was just beginning on the zone, the game was sparsely populated and had few heroes. One clan was in its infancy named KDG, or Kerr Dog's group. This clan was led by a power-hungry zoner named Kerr_Dog. Kerr_Dog was not the best player but was very excited about forming his new "team", so he decided to draft every new player that he could find. Because few people played the game, this was not many. However, KDG evolved into the first true clan of Army Men II.

Two new members of KDG were named KDG_Chess_Dude and KDG_Snow_Man. These two players were rising quickly in talent and soon realized that they could outplay most of their clanmates. They took this in stride, though, only striving to be the best in the game and to promote their newly found clan.

Meanwhile, the mysterious Kerr_Dog was still recruiting new members for his clan. There were no other clans for him to fight, and he was mainly searching for a group that would dominate Army Men II and stop the rising of rookies. Kerr_Dog came across a new player named cubs_fan23 who tried out and qualified for the clan. Kerr told him that he must change his name to be in the clan, and Cubs responded that he would do it later. This remark set Kerr_Dog off, and there were many heated exchanges that followed between these two players. Needless to say, cubs_fan23 never changed his name and never joined KDG.

During his warring with Kerr_Dog, Cubs befriended KDG_Chess_Dude and KDG_Snow_Man. After speaking with Cubs, these two soon agreed that Kerr_Dog was a manipulative dictator that was only out to destroy the game. For this reason, the three players decided that there was a need for a rebel clan to stop Kerr_Dog and to save Army Men II.

The players new that they needed to plan out their defection from KDG and become stronger at the same time. As they were doing this, a new player came along named Air_Strike. Air was another promising player with talent that was passed over by KDG. Cubs, Chess, and Snow quickly grabbed him, and he joined the force. The players waited for the perfect time to defect, when KDG seemed to be at its peak. At that point, Chess and Snow left messages for the clan that said they had resigned.

Chess_Dude and Snow_Man left KDG to form the new clan of DHS, ultimately causing KDG's tumultuous downfall.

Soon after, the players returned to Army Men II, but under a different name - the name of DHS which stood for Die Hard Soldiers. When Kerr_Dog saw this, he became very angry, more angry than he had ever been before. This caused much strife between DHS and KDG, as Kerr_Dog and his clan battled the rebels, hoping to crush the rebellion before it could get on its feet. This soon made DHS and KDG dire enemies.

KDG and DHS had some epic battles. For a while, it seemed that neither clan would gain significant ground and that they were just defeating and weakening one another. However, DHS had lost its reputation as a rebel and gained the reputation of a stable, powerful, respected clan. After time, somehow almost miraculously, KDG stopped appearing. DHS celebrated in its massive victory, the whole reason for its existence. It had accomplished its impossible goal. Little did the clan know what was to come...

In KDG's absence, DHS began to strengthen itself. It took on the role of the dominant, yet not oppressive, clan of the zone. Some small clans appeared and disappeared, but nothing permanent or stable remained. In this time, DHS carefully scouted the Army Men II talent as well as the players' abilities to converse. They came across a player with excellent skills named SixthWalnut. With practice and training, Walnut soon became the most passionate and loyal member of DHS and served as a significant boost with his playing as well as vocal skills.

As DHS was enjoying its Army Men II reign, it was soon awakened by what seemed to be the new clan of LoA, or Legions of Apocalypse. However, DHS soon found out that LoA was a reformed KDG with Kerr_Dog returning as the leader. LoA did prove to be stronger than KDG but still was not overpowering to a strengthened DHS. The two clans had better battles than ever as well as more hate for each other than ever. This was the most intense rivalry ever between Army Men II clans. Unfortunately for the game, it seemed to intimidate many new players that never returned.

It seemed that history repeated itself as LoA slowly began to deteriorate, and DHS stayed small but constant. Soon, Kerr_Dog became so discouraged that he gave up. Instead of clan warfare he decided to pursue his career as a sysop in an effort to defeat DHS through a different means. DHS could once again celebrate as it defeated LoA.

DHS valiantly fought off the massive LoA invasion, securing its supremacy in Army Men II.

With LoA gone, DHS watched the rise and fall of some large clans, named SEAL and CMR. These clans drafted as many members as they could and then caused their own downfalls by having internal problems. This is something that DHS learned to prevent by maintaining a small, tight clan. Though DHS could stand against these massive clans, there were some to come that would prove to be more difficult to stand against.

When the SEAL clan was exterminated, two of its former members, SEAL_DREXEL, SEAL_CygnusX_1, and SEAL_M60madness started the PMB clan, or Plastic Melters Brigade. This clan was similar to DHS and was also very strong. The two clans had good battles but not near the rivalry and intensity which DHS and LoA shared. PMB was a definite thorn in the side of DHS, and was a very worthy opponent.

When PMB had been established for some time, a certain vietcong clan was formed by two former members of PMB. The clan consisted of only two members (vietcong1 and vietcong2) but had exceptional talent, and played very well. After many battles with PMB and vietcong, DHS disappeared for some time. The origin of this disappearance is still unknown. Some say it was lack of interest, others lack of skill, still others say that DHS members had retired from the game. Whatever the reason, the disappearance was not the end of DHS.

Almost a year after its sudden absence, DHS surprised all of Army Men II by reappearing. Cubs_Fan, Chess_Dude, Air_Strike, and Stryker (formerly Sixth_Walnut) all returned at once to battle once again in the realms of the zone. The clan took some time to get back to its old form but is now nearing it. It seems promising but is up against some tough opposition in the everstanding PMB, the looming TWE, and the stable EW. Who knows what will be entered next in the history book of DHS? All that one can tell is that the clan has a wonderful legacy and is truly comprised of Die Hard Soldiers.

Out of the mist and fog of Army Men II, DHS has appeared and is ready to take on any clan with its newly found strength.
