The bull fighter moved forward to finish off the sticken bull. His first attempt left a deep wound in the side of the animal. The bull made a loud howling noise as the blade pierced its lungs. The fighter attempted to stay calm, anacting a series of grotesque poses to show the disipline of his so called art; but after several more failed attempts the thrust of his sword became more and more desparate. The crowd grew restless. The bull was exhausted and recoiled in pain. Un able to charge, it stared in confusion at the red cape. The eighth stab must have found the bulls heart and it slowly collapsed, choking on blood, and died. The spectators at this small arena ( 1500 people ) showed no pity or concern for the animals nor the other six that were tortered in the same way that afternoon. At one point after a bull had been stabed twice and began to breakdown fron the massive blood loss the crowd joined together in a slow hand clap as its legs trembled and its body shook for a full 30 seconds. The clapping turned to cheers as the bull collapsed to the ground in agony.
All kinds of animals are killed for religion , goats are throwen from church towers, chickens are beheaded by blind folded children, rabbits are stoned to death but it is the bull that bears the brunt.
Suddenly the crowed cheered loudly and the bull was dragged into the square by ropes attached to its horns. The rope was passed through a post in the middle of the square on to which the animal was pulled. Its head struck the post with a loud thud. The organisers of the event surrounded the immobalised bull, screwing a crude metal harness onto its horns. This carried balls of rope soaked in resin and wax which were set ablaze. The bull was cut free from the post, the organiseres fled. The bull looked up in bewilderment and stampeded around the square. Seconds later its horns exploded with fireworks, sending the confused animal into a further frenzed rage. The crowed roared and cheered. The fireworks slowly died and the animal began to settle, spectators entered the ring to taunt the animal. Their aim appeared to be to get as close as possible and recieve the biggest cheer from the crowed. The more aggressively the bull responded the greater the cheer would be. After a few minutes the bull fled out the only exit and onto the surrounding streets. The people followed it and here the bull made its biggest mistake it turned to chase its persueres who rushed to torment it, this ment that its punishment grew more and more severe, large sticks were used repeatedly to beat the bull and encourage it to return to the main arena and show its aggression.  Eventually the animal was lassoed with a rope and dragged exhausted back to the post, its hide was raw from the beating it recieved. Its executioner approached, the crowd lept into the ring, no longer fearing the animal. The bull droped quickly to its knees as a knife was pushed into the top of its neck and as children jumped on the still breathing animal its throat was slit and it bleed to death. Sometimes younge calf are set alight as special events for children.
