| Parking @ Keyano College: Can you say, ABSOLUTE & COMPLETE JOKE!!! This school, literally has 5 parking lots (A, B, C, D, & E) and do you think, that on a Monday morning @ 9:00 o'clock there is even ONE parking place to be found?! ZERO!! ZIP!! NODDA!!! It's RIDICULOUS! These people expect students to pay something like 80$ a semester for a parking pass, and you would THINK that, that would guarantee you a spot in the morning. THINK AGAIN. Now me, being the smart (or not so smart person, depending on which way you look @ it) I have not yet caved in & bought one of these ridiculously expensive parking passes, becuz up until this yr. I could always count on finding a parking space at Showgirls. Yes, Showgirls. Now I don't know if there are more students @ Keyano this yr. or if there are just more ppl going to SHOWGIRLS @ 9:00 in the morning, but it never fails that almost every morning I show up to my 1st class 15-20 mins late, not becuz I slept in ppl, OH NO, becuz I just spent the last 25 mins searching for a parking stall. It was on one of these journeys that I discovered the so-called parking lot "E". Now, I think its ridiculous to pay 80$ on a parking pass for a semester, however I ALSO think its ridiculous to pay 2$ for a parking pass for a DAY! & I was NEVER SO bitter when I realized that they actually expected you to pay the 2$ for parking lot "E". Now, You might be asking yourself, why would that be such a shocker?? They make you pay the 2$ for every other parking lot. Let me explain: Parking lot "E", is more of a parking lot for HOME DEPOT then it is for Keyano, thats how far from the school it is (you try lugging a ton of books on your back that far & not complain, & its gona get to about 40 below here to boot!). Also, its not even paved. Its an open feild where they have placed a parking pass ticket dispenser & posted a sign that says: Violators will be ticketed &/or towed. Now I don't know about you, but I am certainly NOT paying 2$ to park a football feilds width away from the school in a dirt feild. (Don't tell the parking meter guys that tho, so far I've managed to avoid the ticket). I know I've done alot of Keyano bashing here when it comes to there set up of parking lots, but I have to say, not all the blame for the lack of parking spaces falls on their shoulders. It also lies on the shoulders of STUPID IDIOT MCMURRAY-ITES WHO NEVER LEARNED HOW TO PARK!!! IT'S THE SIMPLEST THING IN THE WORLD PPL?!?! HOW COME WE AREN'T GETTING IT?!?! You park your vehicle, in between two yellow lines, making sure to be a doors width away from the car beside you (usually the center of the stall will suffice) & you also make sure that you are parked BETWEEN the yellow lines I was just talking about. NOT ACROSS THEM, NOT OVER TOP OF THEM, AND MOST OF ALL: DO NNNNNNOT PARK CROOKED!!!!! This ESPECIALLY goes out to you "big tuff men" who have these MONSTER Fords and Dodges and 1 Ton Dulley's. Why do you feel the need to take up 3 stalls when you park?!?! Its NOT necessary!!! Just a lil advice: I feel MUCH more inclined to park AS CLOSE TO YOU AS POSSIBLE when you've taken over 3 stalls, leaving me with no choice but to INCH my way into what remains of the 3rd stall you've takend up. Which means, that I am much more likely to bump my door into your door, OR take my keys to your f'n precious monster truck.................. (That last sentiment may fall under the same category as my road rage does, THATS a whole other issue). SO, to those of you reading this, who may be guilty of the above accusations, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GAWD EITHER GO BACK TO DRIVING SCHOOL TO LEARN HOW TO PARK, OR GET OVER YOURSELF & YOUR GAWD DAM VEHICLE!!!!!! (For example: Your sooped up sunfire or cavalier - NOT AS COOL AS YOU THINK IT IS BUDDY!!!!) And as for Keyano College, You say your for the students, so why not make your parking more accessible?? & sliiiiightly more affordable???? PLZ?!!! ............... Well, I guess thats my rant for today. Sorry if I've offended anyone. (minus you fools who don't know how to park, your the exception, FEEL OFFENDED, & fix the problem). -Christina Marie Weichel |
