Mothers Day, 2005
This morning I took my wife Christa and our youngest daughter Hanna, out for an early morning fishing trip to Logan Martin. The fog was pretty thick so we decided to stay in The Park untill the fog lifted. We started out throwing topwater to feeding fish on a small flat next to a good ledge that usually holds some good fish. My first fish was the biggest of the day and crushed a Zara Spook. I had several smaller fish try to eat it but never got their lips locked on to it. I had one more fish that looked the same size as the first jump completely over  then double back on it, but still missed it. The action slowed once the sun popped out and we started working the ledge with finesse worms and tube baits. The finesse worm was the ticket. We fished a 100 yard stretch of the ledge and caught all the fish in the pictures and three more we threw back. The weather was beautiful and the boat traffic was pretty light. I felt REALLY good to get back on the water with Christa and Hanna.
