| Today was a blast from the past. I finally got back on the water with two of my favorite fishing partners today, Scott and Cameron, my brother-in-laws. We started out this morning at Guntersville looking for some fish for an upcoming BFL Tournament next week-end. The pattern from yesterday's trip by Scott and Cameron was a little unstable today due to a cold front passage last night but we managed one good fish and a couple of misses. The weather should stabilize and help them next week-end with what they have put together so far. The day switched gears after noon and we headed to our old stomping grounds, Logan Martin. The spots were a little tempermental at first but after a little head scratching and a few "what do you think's", we found what we were looking for. We used the high winds to our advantage and slowed it down a little. Tube baits and Jigheads were still effective and rocky points being churned up by the wind held our best fish. We caught 12-13 fish today with our best 5 bumping 15 lbs. Thanks Guys.........I Had A Blast!!!! |
