My favorite place
Noland Trail, which located off J.Clyde Morris blvd, near riverside hospital and Warwick high school. Its on Mariners Museum property and maintained by the Noland foundation. It is five miles of packed dirt and cinder in some spots, very, very hilly and room for maybe four runners across the path, usually just two runners abreast. Itis the place that I can go to and have fun, and really enjoy my time there.
In my busy daily life, going to school and work, there is so much responsibility that I have to worry about, but one place that I feel free, secure and relaxed, is Noland Trail, every time I go there with a first step I do from my car, I feel relaxed because it is a place that is very quiet and have a nice view. Noland Trail is a place that is full of fresh air and joy. As long as I stay there my mind is off of every thing. There is a trail, which is about five miles that you can walk in, and trees everywhere. Also it is a place that is not located in some busy spots of the city, like down town or any other busy places. Every morning in the two-day weekend, I go to Noland Trail for exercise, which includes walking. When I finish my exercise, I take a look of the water, which it looks marvelous, especially in the morning, and I take a deep breath; it feel so relieving.
In every weekend morning my mom and I go to Noland Trail for a walk and some times my father come a long. We spend about two hour by walking and talk at the same time. We walk around 168-acre lake Maury. On this five-mile walk around 168-acre lake Maury, we will follow the trial through a coastal plain forest. The trail includes fourteen wooden bridges that cross over segments of the lake and provide ever-changing views. Markers occur every half-mile starting from both the north and south entrances. The entire trail takes from one and one half to two hours to walk.
There is a statue that is located in the first entrance of Noland trial; it's a statue of Collis Potter Huntgton 1821-1900, founder of the shipyard. Through his undertaking this park became a possibility and a reality.  My mom and I always stop by the statue for relaxation and rest by the end of walking through the Trail, there are rest rooms, but no water stops yet.  There are wooden bridges and one cement bridge on a well-traveled road.
Noland Trail is a place that people can enjoy the air, view of the trees, and the beauty of nature. Day after day, the beauty and the location of this park bring more people to visit and spend their quality time their. It is a place that I was interested with my first visit there. After my first visit to Noland Trail, I decided that this place is a place for me to come to once a week, and relax while I am there.
