Not only is it important, it's a good idea
As you may or may not know, Bud Selig (grr, grr), the comissioner of the Major Leagues, wanted to contract the leagues and get rid of the Twins and the Montreal Expos. The team organizations that most want contraction are the ones whose ticket sales might go up. However, a bunch of senators are examining baseball as a Monopoly, anti-trust laws, etc. Baseball is a corrupt sport I am sorry to say. So, these senators want to kick Selig out and let the teams stay where they are. In order to prove the point, writers want people to use their whole 25 votes they are entitled to, and vote only for Expos and Twins (they're good, underrated teams anyways) for the 2002 All Star Team. So I think you should vote for the Twins and Expos for the All Star team, so that so many die-hard fans like me will still be able to see Major League Games with ease.

Well, the 2002All Star Game is over, but the struggle isn't
The All Star Game ended this year in a tie. But while Twins and Expos players were selected for the All Star Game, not many people went along with the idea of fighting the comissioner. I think it is still important to keep in the All Star Game point, though. Bud Selig is obviously not competent enough to be the Comissioner. Not only has steroid usage increased, since Selig was made the Comissioner, but problems with players and owners continue to grow. Baseball teams are going under because of low ratings and overbiddings of other teams for talent. *cough cough Yankees* For the All Star Game, Selig should have had the teams continue to play, bringing in pitchers whose managers were attending or coaching the game. Major League Baseball has had All Star Games that have gone long into the extra innings. Selig should declare steroids illegal, but only test incoming players. For those veterans who are on steriods, teams should urge players not to do steroids or other performance inhancers, arguing that soon no more people will be on steroids. (I think a lot of players are a pressured into taking performance inhancers to keep up with players like Barry Bonds and Jason Giambi) I think the two I listed are on steroids. My idea is similar to that of the plan in which the spit ball was banned. Two pitchers from each team could use the spit ball, and when they retired, no one else would pitch it. Eventually, no one pitched the spit ball (legally). Anyone who was found out breaking the rules would be fined and what not. So that's my idea. As for the Salary Cap, I don't think that one should restrict the amount a player should make. However, I think that teams should have to split gate receipts and tv money with the visiting team so that a more equal budget is created. This way Steinbrenner can't exactly buy every superstar alive. (yea) And teams are less likely to go bankrupt. Owners are very corrupt and the senate needs to crack down on this, especially if they are cracking down on corporate fraud. In other words, we should put a hit out on Selig (I wish I could kill that horrendous man) and Comiskey Stinks!!!!!
Bud Selig needs to die
And it's too bad Comiskey can't die twice
Ughh! the pigs
