Tagliatelle Carbonara

This is a recipe I hold close to my heart. Not only is it surprisingly easy but it tastes just swell! Why not whip it up when youre in hurry but still require a wholesome meal? Good Luck!

I
ngredients

Half a pint of single cream
1 piece of fresh Parmesan
2 eggs
1 packet smoked bacon
2 cloves of Garlic
a little olive oil
Plenty of black pepper
A pinch of salt
1 packet of fresh Tagliatelle (get the nice fresh stuff from Sainsburys, failing that try Tescos, failing that use the dry stuff you cheapskate freak)

Method

Finely chop your garlic and bacon. Add a little olive oil to a frying pan or pot (if using a frying pan it should have fairly high sides or youll end up spilling your sauce all over the blimmin place moron). Once the oil is hot add your garlic and bacon and fry until cooked, if you like youre bacon crispy then fry longer jackass. Once the bacon is done reduce the heat and allow the pan to cool down briefly.

Take a large bowl and crack your eggs into it. Now add your cream to the eggs and whisk together until thoroughly combined. Making sure the pan is not still roasting (or youll end up with a freakin omelette) pour the egg mixture in with the bacon. You must keep stirring this over a gentle heat or it may become scrambled eggs. Once the sauce starts to thicken ad your (grated) parmesan until the desired consistency is achieved. Remember to keep some parmesan aside to top off the finished dish with. Season with lots of black pepper and a pinch of salt.

Cook your pasta according to the instructions on the packet and when it is done drain off the water and pour the sauce into the pot with the pasta. Stir it all up and you're ready to chow down. Sprinkle a little grated parmesan over the top and a twist of pepper should add that much needed touch of class. All you need do now is sit back with a nice chilled can of Tennents Super and enjoy!
