Cholclate Covered Crickets

Nothing in the cupboard 'cept insects? Then follow these simple guidelines for a tasty dish!!.

Ingredients

25 live adult Crickets (these can be substituted for other edible insects)

Semi-weet cooking chocolate

Method

Preheat the overn to 250 degrees

Rince the crickets off, then place them in the freezer until dead but not frozen.

Place the crickets in the oven and bake until crispy.

Melt the chocolate down, dip the crispy crickets in one by one, then place on a piece of wax paper and leave until chocolate sets.

Enjoy!!


Serving suggestion

Couple the chocolate covered crickets with dry roasted crickets to achieve a delicious sweet/savoury mix to compliment the range of nibbles at your next cocktail party.
