Dear Virgin Mobile Customers,
Virgin Mobile Singapore will no longer be providing services to customers from 12th October 2002. This concludes the company�s winding down period which began in July. Customers have been contacted throughout this period via mail and SMS.
All Virgin Mobile�s systems have now ceased operations.
Customers who indicated their choice prior to 11 October 2002 to transfer their account and handphone number to SingTel Mobile have now become SingTel Mobile hi!Card customers. If you are one of those customers, you may need to reset your voicemail greeting, as well as use hi!Card top up facilities. Virgin Mobile top up cards are no longer valid. All other services have seamlessly been transferred to SingTel Mobile and you can send and receive calls and messages within Singapore as normal. If you require international roaming you should consult SingTel Mobile customer care before you travel.
From 12 October 2002, all customer care enquiries should be directed to SingTel Mobile hi!Card hotline on: 1800 482 2800. Virgin Mobile has now ceased its customer operations in Singapore.
Customers who did not respond to our correspondence and messages, and therefore did not indicate a desire for their account to be transferred to SingTel Mobile, will be unable to use their handphone from 12 October 2002. Any dollar value balance remaining on their account is considered forfeit. We have ensured that the customer�s personal information is protected and have provided numerous reminders to ensure no customers have been left without service. All these steps taken over the past three months were part of our effort to assure a seamless and convenient transition for Virgin Mobile customers, in accordance with regulations and guidelines stipulated by the iDA.
