| Phi Psi has recently informed us that they will be receiving a grant from their National Chapter and would like to use the money to go forward with a Habitat for Humanity project. This would include providing a home for a family of 9, that currently lives in a trailer. In addition to this, we are looking into taking part in Bowling for Children on Sat. April 6th and Sunday April 7th. If you would like to sponsor a team, or a player, the cost is $75 a player. Another possible project is the continuation of help for Stephanie Bailes, a severely ill child. Also,IFC is looking into providing a Night out for Dickinson Faculty Parents, and Carlisle Parents. IFC will be teaming up with Panhel on this, and babysitting children for a fee on a weekend night for 3-4 hours. This would give parents a chance to have a night out and not worry about their children. As of now, these are the projects IFC will be undertaking this Spring Semester. Philanthropy chair David Yampolski is looking around Carlisle, visiting the YMCA and other local Philanthropies to see what else is going on in the area. If you have any questions, you can email David Yampolski at [email protected]. |
