| Last year's Greek Week was sponsored by IFC and Panhel. There were many events and some were well attended, unlike others. There was the return of the pizza eating contest that Saturday during Springfest which Kate Tamulonis and Amy Perkins of Delta Nu and Stephanie Williams of Kappa Kappa Gamma won. IFC also sponsored the Band Simon Sez that night as they jammed away in front of a crowd from 4-8 that night in the lower quads. The Greek BBQ was a successful event with extra food being donated to Project Share. The academic reception saw Phi Delta Theta winning the highest GPA award for the fraternities and for the sororities, Kappa Alpha Theta. Also present, was the returning Dickinson Alumnus Erin Foley of Delta Nu as a guest performer who brought stories of her past experiences alive with her comedic performance. Finally, we had a roundrobin softball tournament hosted by Kate Fry and Dan Schelisenger who put alot of effort into the event. This year's Greek Week is being planned and should incorporate traditional events but also include some new ones to increase participation. No one will be able to forget the Dunk Tank that IFC sponsored and got DPS, along with Josh Eisenberg, all wet that cold afternoon. See you this semester!!! |
