The Red-belly Pacu is a large characin that must be kept in large
aquaria. This powerful fish can swim fast, and can send water
to the floor. Live plants will be eaten, so plastic plants are
recommended for decoration and hiding places. Strong mechanical
filtration is required.

Feeding
|
The Red-belly Pacu is onmivore and feed on almost any food given.
This fish will eat large pellets, cichlid sticks, vegetables and
aquarium live plants, beefhearts, insects and small fish.

Compatibility
|
The Red-belly Pacu can be kept in very large community tank as
long as there are no small fish enough to be eaten. Because of
the size of this fish, it is usually kept in solitary but can
be more active when kept in a group.
