The Midas Cichlid is a very aggressive fish that
requires territory such as properly arranged rocks
forming caves. This fish is also known for its digging.
Large powerful filtration coupled with frequent
partial water change are necessary to maintain a good
health for this fish.

Feeding
|
Midas Cichlid is a carnivorous fish that feed mainly on
small live foods such as small fish, worms, insects,
invertebrates and detritus. This fish will also accept
prepared food such as cichlid sticks and pellets
preferably the sinking type. Poor feeding might cause
the lost of the fish great coloration.

Compatibility
|
This fish is very aggressive. At least 50 gallon tank
is required for a single specimen. This fish is a
predator so no small fish can be kept as tankmate.
This fish can be housed in a large community aquarium
with tankmates that can able to fend for themselves.
