Richard Solomon of Pace Editions of New York City was juror for the competition with a public reception and awards ceremony from 2 to 4 p.m., February 11.
The etching depicts Clos de Vougeot in Burgundy and was the menu cover at a dinner for La Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin at Jean Louis restaurant in Greenwich, CT.
Cryer combines the old and new techniques to create a unique photographic intaglio. A graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he has studied visual arts at Purchase College, State University of New York. He learned both etching and photographic etching techniques with prominent artists.
